One of the best things about this university is its syllabus.

Placements: From the end of the 3rd semester, students are available for campus placements. Companies like Hetero and Aurobindo Pharma visit and give offers to more than 100 students every year. The highest packages are around 2,00,000 per year, and the average packages are 1,50,000 annually. The profiles offered include quality control, R&D, etc. Students can pursue eligible PhDs or required jobs in their respective streams.

Infrastructure: I opted for a hostel and got a non-sharing seat. However, the number of hostel seats is limited across the whole university. Students from our department easily get seats in the hostel because they come from different states, and our entrance is based on a national level. The food in the mess is not great in terms of taste, but we can eat it. However, we don't get food on Sunday night, so we have to arrange for ourselves, thanks to nearby food stalls and restaurants that are not far away. Hostel fee: INR 40,000 per year; external expenses: Rs. 2,000 - Rs. 4,000.

Faculty: My course is entirely research-based as it is M.Sc. Biotechnology. We have practical periods three days a week, and if we need to spend more time in the labs, we can directly ask the concerned faculty for permission, which is usually granted. Research scholars also help us if we need any assistance. We learn practical skills during lab lectures that will definitely be helpful for us in the future during our dissertation and PhDs. My faculty members are also very helpful; they solve all our problems. Course examinations include: Test 1 of 20 marks, mid-semester exam of 20 marks, Test 2 of 20 marks, and an external examination of 60 marks. We receive results in CGPA. There were plans for an industrial visit, but we couldn't go due to the corona crisis. Class size: 18; course fees: INR 8,000 per year.

It is a nice college. You can take admission here if you are looking to apply.

Placements: Around 50% of students in my course get placed. The highest package is 20 LPA, the lowest is 5 LPA, and the average package is 10 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are Pfizer, Bharat Biotech, etc. Around 25% of students get internships from our college.

Infrastructure: Facilities of our college are quite good. Wi-Fi with good speed is available. Classrooms are also good. We have a well-equipped library with computers, and you can sit there and work for hours without any restrictions. Overall, it is a good college.

Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified, many have graduated from IITs and have a good knowledge of their subjects. The course curriculum is very well planned and makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are quite difficult.

Other: I want to be in biotechnology, that’s why I chose biotechnology.
