Satisfying teachers. About placements, I could possibly tell more about it as a year or two passes.
Placements: I am pursuing M.Sc. in clinical psychology at Amity University, Bengaluru. We are offered to be given internships during our 3rd semester and as far as psychology is considered, it is more about practical exposure. Gaining experience from internships would place us in a position where we can work as assistant psychologists in clinics, practice therapy, and become assistant professors of course by clearing NET.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good, AC ventilated, and very comfortable to be in. Wi-Fi facility is available 24X7. Lab classes are mostly done in our classroom with the provided assessment tools like VSMS scale, rorshach, etc. I would say the food here is above average and is almost sufficient. Medical room is available and for severe cases, we are taken to hospital. A football field, cricket nets, badminton court, volleyball court, basketball court, and squash faculty members are here and they are really good. A gym facility is also available here and is well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are very guiding and supportive both in academic aspects and in extending personal support. Teachers are well-qualified and impart great knowledge to us through their teaching. The course curriculum is relevant and it helps the students to become competent and acquire the needed skills such as communication, research knowledge, etc. For them to further proceed in their life. Semester exams are moderately difficult with a passing percentage of 40%.
Other: I chose this course because I love helping people and I hope I could be of great help to people. Having more workshops related to our field such as understanding body language, etc., would make it more interesting for students to develop their knowledge in this field. The campus, as it has been only two years since it started to function. It has definitely given a good start, I would say. Around 1500 students are here at present, and they organize sports and cultural events regularly. They also organised an international conference on March 8. Scholarships are also being provided to students.
