Postgraduate courses offered are M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. For MBA interested candidates must pass Graduation (In any stream) or equivalent examination from a recognised University/ Institute with a valid rank/ score of MAT (conducted by AIMA)/ WB-JE MAT (conducted by WBUT)/ AMPAI - WB.

JIS College of Engineering has an intake of 63 students for its M.Tech programme. This includes the seats available for the four M.Tech specialisations offered at the college. Yes, you can pursue BCA programme from JIS College of Engineering provided you fulfil the admission criteria stated by the college. The college accepts students for the course based on entrance exam scores. JISCE provides the BCA programme through its Department of Computer Applications. Admission to a majority of courses offered by JIS College of Engineering is entrance-based. Apart from JEE Main, GATE and MAT, candidates can also appear for WBJEE, JEMAT, WBUT PGET and CEE AMPAI for admission to UG and PG courses offered by JISCE.

JET (JIS University Entrance Exam): Candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognised Central or State Board or its equivalent with minimum 50%* marks. Under Graduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) qualified candidates can directly apply for GD/PI.

JEMAT exam has three sections - English, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning. Each section carries different marks. The English and Mathematics section with 20 marks, Logical Reasoning section has 10 marks.

For B.Tech admissions, students must secure 45% in 10+2 in PCM and qualify for either WB-JEE or JEE Main or AMPAI. The merit list is prepared by MAKAUT for counselling. BBA and BCA admissions are offered on the basis of scores obtained in 10+2 in relevant compulsory subjects.

Yes, JIS University follows a merit-based admission process for most of its courses, and direct admission is generally not offered. However, there are certain courses and programs where direct admission may be possible.
