Anna University, Chennai starts their admission process through an online portal during May each year. To enroll in undergraduate B.E./B.Tech degrees students must participate in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) counseling procedure which requires at least 50% Grade Point Average of Physics along with Chemistry and Mathematics in Class 12. The complete B.E./B.Tech tuition expenses at Anna University amount to INR 57,105. To get admission into postgraduate M.E./M.Tech courses at Kalasalingam Academy students need to submit their TANCET entrance test scores where candidates must have gained 50% or higher marks in their previous undergraduate degree.

Since the MBA and MCA exam is held in a single shift, Anna University does not require to normalise the TANCET scores.
