Amity University Noida student Tanishka Verma bags a fully funded Airbus-backed research grant
Big news from Amity University Noida. Tanishka Verma, a student from Batch 2025 of Amity University Noida, has earned a fully funded research scholarship at the University of Southampton, UK, supported by Airbus. This is a huge achievement for Amity community, and a proof the hard work the community puts in each student.
Working on a Problem the Aviation World Cares About
Flying might feel easy to passengers, but behind the scenes, the aviation industry is constantly working to solve difficult challenges. One of the biggest problem is the aircraft noise, specially during takeoff.
Tanishka's research inspects how propellers interact with aircraft wings, a major reason behind the extreme noise generated at critical flight stages. The work done by her aims to contribute to the development of a quieter, more efficient aircraft, which in return improves passengers' comfort and reduces environmental impact.
From Campus to Global Research Lab
What makes this achievement special is that it didn’t start after graduation, it started on the campus premises itself. Amity’s focuses on practical learning and research exposure that gives students opportunities to work with experts and industry leaders from companies like, ISRO and Boeing.
The scholarship is more than an academic milestone for Tanishka and is a foundation for her into global research and a future where her work could help shape the next generation of aircrafts. It is a proud reminder that when talent meets the right platform, the results can take off.
