Ashoka University Admissions 2026: Programmes, Eligibility, Selection Process & Dates

Yes, Ashoka University also levies one-time admission and security deposits in BA total fees 2025. It generally range from INR 1 Lacs to INR 1.1 lakh. These are payable at the time of admission and are in addition to recurring examination form expenses etc.

Ashoka University MA fee is INR 11.3 lakh. The fee mentioned here is not applicable to MA (Liberal Studies). A refundable security deposit of INR 20,000 and meal cost security deposit of INR 25,000 (if opted-in for Residence) at the time of acceptance of the offer of admission will also be charged. Aspirants must complete Class 12 from a recognised board to apply for BSc (Hons) at Ashoka University. Candidates should have documents proving their eligibility. Admission to BSc (Hons) is based on scores of candidates in assessment conducted by the university.

Ashoka University has not mentioned the age limit to apply for a course. However, aspirants must fulfill the eligibility for the preferred course to get admission in the university. Aspirants must pass Class 12 for UG courses.

Ashoka University hostel fee is INR 200,550 for the UG courses. This is for the academic year 2025-26. The residence cost component includes room and utilities, such as water, electricity (100% backup and air conditioning), pantry, and gymnasium. The hostel fee is based on an average stay duration of nine months in a year. For meals, an amount of INR 10,000 per semester will be charged at the end of each semester. An amount of INR 5,400 will also be charged under essential services, which includes medical insurance and laundry services.

The BA tuition fee at Ashoka University fee is between INR 30.68 Lacs and INR 40.91 Lacs for the entire course. 

Ashoka University offers Merit Cum Means scholarship for exceptional Undergraduate students intending to major in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or Computer Science at Ashoka. A total of 25 scholarships will be awarded in addition to the need based financial aid available to all students, of which 5 of candidates will receive a waiver of 100% on tuition fee and residence, and remaining 20 will receive a waiver of 100% on tuition fee. Candidates can refer to the steps below to apply for Merit Cum Means scholarship:

1. Candidates shortlisted based on the cut-offs will receive an invitation to apply for the Merit Scholarship.
2. As a part of the scholarship application, candidates will be required to submit a form with a Statement Of Purpose (SOP), along with the latest Income Tax Return of their parents/guardian. This application form will be open for 5 days.
3. Candidates will be further shortlisted by a scholarship committee based on the caliber of their SOP and family income analysis.  Those that make the short list at this point could also have to show up for an in-person interview with the committee.
4. Depending on how well they perform overall during the selection process, successful candidates will either earn a 100% tuition fee waiver or a 100% tuition and residence waiver.

Ashoka University offers Achiever's Merit Scholarship of Up to 100% tuition fee waiver. This scholarship is offered to 150 students based on their overall performance in Ashoka University admission process with recognition for high performance in CBSE and ICSE/ ISC board examination.

Ashoka University offers Need-based Scholarship of up to 100% tuition fee waivers. Need-based scholarship is offered to students requiring financial aid. The scholarship is offered to students considering their income, savings, etc.

Ashoka University does offer BA courses for three years, divided into six semesters. The university offers several specialisations in BA courses, such as BA (Hons) in Economics, BA (Hons) in Political Science, BA (Hons) in English, BA (Hons) in History, etc. Students have to complete class 12 from a recognised board. Then appear for Ashoka Aptitude Assessment, followed by a personal Interview. Candidates will be evaluated on their consistent academic performance, aptitude test and interview scores.
