BHU CUET Subject Mapping 2026: Important Guidelines

While filing CUET form 2026, candidates must ensure to check the important guidelines for subject mapping below.

  • Candidates must align the CUET subjects with class 12th subjects.
  • Choose CUET 2026 subjects in which the candidate is proficient. Picking subjects that interest can improve overall performance in the exam.
  • Choose subjects based on desired course. For instance, if candidate aims to study physics, he/she should include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics, and one language in their CUET subjects.
  • Consult with career counsellors, teachers, or students who have previously taken the BHU CUET.
Q&A Icon
Commonly asked questions
Q:   How is CUET UG cut off calculated?
A:

The CUET UG cut off is determined by CUET participating universities seperately. Parameters on the basis of which CUET UG cut off is released are:

  • Total number of candidates that appeared for the CUET UG exam
  • The number of seats offered by the participating universities through CUET UG
  • The difficulty level of the CUET exam
  • Overall performance of the test takers (pass percentage/ score range, etc.)

CUET cut off is based on the percentile of the candidate. To calculate the CUET percentile following formula is applied:

100*Number of candidates appeared in the session with a raw score is equal to or less than a candidate/ total number of candidates appeared for CUET UG.

Q:   When will JMI release CUET cutoff?
A:

Jamia Milia Islamia releases the CUET merit list instead of CUET cutoff list. Candidates who will be shortlisted can check their names on the merit list when released. JMI releases the CUET merit list soon after the declaration of CUET results.

Q:   How can I access the CUET UG cut off list?
A:

Students can access the CUET UG cut off list only after the cut offs are released by the CUET UG participating universities. The following steps should be followed to access the CUET cut off list of universities candidate is desirous to take admission in.

  • Visit the official website of the applied and participating institutes
  • On the homepage, click on the link to the current academic session CUET Cut Off
  • A new login page will open on screen. Enter the credentials and submit
  • Now, you can access the CUET UG cut off list when released

The above steps will be applicable only if instittues release the CUET UG cut offs. Otherwise, if the institutes release merit lists carrying their scores, then the minimum score would be considered as the CUET UG cut off. Universities like Delhi University does not released CUET cut off. Candidates will know the college/course allocated on the basis of the preferences filled by the candidate while filling the application form.

Q:   If am appearing for multiple slots, will my CUET exam centre remain same for all exams?
A:

Candidates may be allotted different CUET 2026 exam centres for different dates and slots. However, the city would most likely be the same. Candidates must check the exam centre details carefully in the admit card and appear in the correct CUET centre. Candidates will be issued the CUET intimation slip three to four days prior to the day of examination. On release of the CUET intimation slip, candidates can know the exam centre allotted and can make the preparations for travel accordingly.

Candidates must note that different admit card and intimation slip will be issued for each exam. Candidates cannot re-use the admit card of previous slot or session.

BHU CUET Subject Combination 2026: Correction Window

Registered CUET 2026 applicants are allowed to change or add subjects in their BHU CUET subject combination 2026 during the official CUET correction window. This facility enables applicants to update their subject preferences according to Banaras Hindu University course requirements. If candidates add new subjects, they must pay the additional CUET application fee as prescribed by NTA.

The CUET UG 2026 form correction window is available until February 11, 2026. Candidates seeking admission to BHU through CUET must ensure their selected subjects match the eligibility criteria of their desired course before final submission.

It is important to understand that CUET form correction is a one-time opportunity. Once the correction window closes, candidates will not be able to modify their CUET subject combination or any other application details. Applicants should carefully verify their BHU CUET subject combination to avoid admission issues later.
