Placement opportunities are very less for B.Com students, but if you pursue higher education such as MBA and PG courses, then placement opportunities are very high.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2027
Offered by Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi
3.6
4Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
IIT BHU offers a college life, placements, and a curriculum.
Placements: Around 65% of students get placed in the 2025–26 session. The highest package is bagged by a student from Electrical Engineering at NK Securities, 1.67 crores PA (off-campus). Top recruiting companies for the Electrical core are Nvidia, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, and many others. Top software/quant companies open to Electrical students are NK Securities, Squarepoint Capital, Google, Microsoft, and many more. Almost all of them also offer internships. Around 50% of students get internships.
Infrastructure: The hostels for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year boys are very good and well-maintained as they are newly built. The hostels for other years have older infrastructure. Wi-Fi is good everywhere. Labs are in good condition. The library and reading rooms of IIT BHU are good. The mess food quality is quite good compared to other IITs.
Faculty: Some teachers do not teach very well, but several are very good at explaining the courses. The curriculum at IIT BHU is relatively easier compared to other IITs. The courses do not make students fully industry-ready. The pass percentage depends on the professor and the course because most courses use relative grading.
Other: The best thing about this course is that it is not very complex and is easy for students to catch up. To improve Electrical Engineering, the college could include more practical knowledge in the course. Fests are organized with great enthusiasm and are very enjoyable. The campus is lush, green, and beautiful despite some old infrastructure. Various state governments and private scholarships are available. The college also supports extracurricular activities and spends on clubs, outfests, and Inter IIT events.

Review of Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi.
Placements: Around 70 percent of students get placed in the final year. The highest package offered is 54 LPA, and the lowest package offered in my college is 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Google, Nvidia, Goldman Sachs, Tata Motors, and Amazon hire students. Around 50 to 60 percent of students get internships before their final year. Both core and non-core jobs are offered in our college.
Infrastructure: Facilities available are old, but everything needed is provided to us. Wi-Fi facilities are absolutely good. Classrooms are okay. The library is an absolute part of our college, and it has all types of book collections needed for a student. The hostel rooms are too cozy and small. The food is not that good in taste, but the quality is good enough.
Faculty: Teachers who teach us are very knowledgeable and friendly. They help us in our internships and academics. The course curriculum is relevant. Courses are very helpful and make us ready in all ways for our jobs and internships. The difficulty level of semester exams is very high. The pass percentage is around 80 percent.

B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2029

4.4

The best college for placements.
Placements: Around 60-70 percent of students are placed in this course. Almost everyone chooses non-core jobs over core jobs due to the very low placement package in core jobs. The highest package is 51 LPA, and the average is around 18 LPA. The companies Indian Oil Corporation, BASF, ONGC, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not very modern. The Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. The classrooms, library, and labs are very calm without any disturbance. The hostels and mess are very neat. The college has a hospital. For sports, we have several grounds and a student activity centre.
Faculty: The teachers are very well educated and helpful. They make us think beyond the syllabus for deep understanding. This course is about process control and instrumentation, chemical relations, etc. This course is so much industry-related. The exams are a bit tough.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry - Batch of 2028
3.6
3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
My college is the best in several things, like atmosphere and the study level.
Placements: There are no placements in the B.Sc. course, but in the M.Sc. course, placements take place. The highest package is 10 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. Many recruiting companies visit the college to hire students for my course. Roles are offered by chemical companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my department is the best. My department has the biggest building in the whole university. There are many labs to perform practicals. There are the highest students in my course. The hostel is also good. There are 4 to 5 mess facilities, 3 canteens, and a playground.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They teach us in an energetic and very easy language. If we ask questions, then they answer all of those questions at any place. They also take extra classes if most students have doubts about the topic. Exams conducted are very good.
Other: I chose this course because I have a great interest in Chemistry from my school time. I love studying Chemistry. I think I need to improve my writing abilities in Chemistry, like less objective, more subjective, and teachers are also helping me with this topic.

Absolutely satisfied with the good faculty members and placements.
Placements: About 90 percent of the students in my course (mechanical branch) are placed. The highest package is 3.4 crore per annum. The lowest package is 8 LPA. The average package is 10 LPA. About 80 percent of students get internships in college. Top recruiting companies are HPCL and ISRO.
Infrastructure: The college has very good Wi-Fi. It has clean and well-equipped labs. There are very good, nice, and clean classrooms. The quality of the food is not that satisfying but somewhat okay. They mostly cook potatoes. The library is very good. Medical and sports facilities are average.
Faculty: Teachers and professors are very helpful, highly qualified, and highly knowledgeable. Exams are very difficult and simple if we study from the beginning. They are hard if we neglect them. The pass percentage highly depends on the subject professor.
