The Central University of Punjab has a refund policy for academic fees. If a student withdraws before the starting of the program, the entire fee collected will be refunded. The refund percentage varies based on the point of time when the notice of withdrawal is served or received by the university.
The refund policy is as follows:
- 100% refund if withdrawal is 15 days or more before the last date of admission
- 90% refund if withdrawal is less than 15 days before the last date of admission
- 80% refund if withdrawal is 15 days or less after the last date of admission
- 50% refund if withdrawal is 30 days or less, but more than 15 days, after the last date of admission
- 0% refund if withdrawal is more than 30 days after the last date of admission
In case of M.Sc. in Food Science and Technology, the student can cancel their admission and get a refund as per the above policy. However, if the student cancels their admission after registration and commencement of classes, they need to cancel their seat through the online portal and submit a "No Dues Certificate" along with the application for refund of academic fee and security.
The university also has a refund policy for hostel fees. If a candidate withdraws or cancels the hostel seat within 30 days after allotment, the hostel fee will be refunded after deducting one month's hostel fee from the refundable amount. If a candidate withdraws or cancels the hostel seat after 30 days from the allotment, only the hostel security money will be refunded.
