B.Sc. B.Ed. - Batch of 2028
4.4

Vast career opportunities in CUPB, Bathinda. Read more now to see.
Placements: B.Sc. B.Ed. course is not for placements basically, it gives us opportunities towards the teaching line, and it provides a variety of job opportunities. In our batch, a total of 48 students were admitted, and out of those 48, all are now in the 2nd year of B.Sc.B.Ed.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are efficient, and they are available to each and every one of us. The quality of food for vegetarians is really good and protein-rich, but for non vegetarian, there is no option other than eating outside. Canteens are also there. Nescafé and Amul shops are also there, near the academic area and hostel, respectively.
Faculty: Faculty members in the teaching line are really appreciable, and they are so intellectual and understanding in nature. They are very knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant and offers multiple entry exist system too. It does make the study industry ready as it is open for students to choose their own future. Semester exams are conducted on the basis of Bloom's taxonomy, i.e., moderate to difficult level, and passing percentage in the Bachelor's course is above 90%.
Other: I personally have chosen this course because of the dual degree system and a backup plan for job opportunities. Fests and events are not happening that much here.

M.A. in Political Science - Batch of 2023
5.0
5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
It was the best university i had ever seen for an M.A in political science course
Placements: Our university offered approximately 70 percent placements. The major recruitment agencies included NITI Aayog, WTO, and Oxfam, etc. Students with a CGPA ranging from 8.5 to 9.5 were eligible for internships. The average salary was between 10 and 12 LPA. The top positions available included Civil Servants, Diploma holders, and so on.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was excellent there. Classrooms were outfitted with projectors, comfortable seating, high-speed Wi-Fi, and high-quality audio equipment. However, the mess and hostel rooms had subpar facilities due to their small size. Even the bathrooms were not clean and ready for use, and there was mess everywhere.
Faculty: The faculty members were highly qualified and knowledgeable about their respective professions. Teachers were really helpful with study guides. In reality, seniors often functioned as teachers because they were naturally helpful. They supported and assisted us whenever we required them in our careers. Semester exams were very demanding, and the pass rate exceeded 32 percent.

M.Sc. in Biochemistry - Batch of 2026
3.4
3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
A good place if you like isolation.
Placements: Everything is well-organized on the campus. In my course, there are no placements, but in some courses, there are placement offers, like agriculture or food technology. The campus placements for those courses are good, and internships are also there. Students get good packages.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in the lab, classrooms, hostels, as well as in the mess. The library facilities are also good, and it is open until 2 AM. Passionate students can study there for a long time. After that, the hostel has reading rooms where students can go to study. It helps a lot during exams.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and help students find a better path. Biochemistry is not a relevant course, but it is good enough to clear CSIR NET if you really want to. The course is designed in such a way that most of topics of CSIR are covered through the three semesters of coursework.

M.Sc. in Biochemistry - Batch of 2026
3.6

The college is good, having all types of accommodation related to students.
Placements: At least 25% of students get placed, and the highest package is 8 LPA along with HRA. Around 75% of students get internships at different institutions in India. Roles offered in our course are assistant professor, biochemistry analyst, industrial work, etc.
Infrastructure: The laboratory facilities are good, along with different kinds of instruments for work. The campus is well established with AC, Wi-Fi, electricity, and also has library access till 2 AM at night. Hostel accommodation is good with all facilities like a bed, an almirah, a table, and a chair. Mess is also good.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable in their course of teaching, and have quite experience in their teaching and research, filled with their interest. The curriculum is relevant to all types of work, like teaching, research, and industry. The pass percentage in the college is about 90%.

M.A. in English - Batch of 2024
5.0
5Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Overall, it is the best university for the M.A. in English course.
Placements: English placements were fairly good. No positions were available in Chemistry, Physics, or any other field. The average starting wage was between 10 LPA and 12 LPA, the minimum was between 2 LPA and 5 LPA, and the maximum was over 15 LPA. Students were losing good agreement after passing the third quarter M.A. with a score of over 92%. Higher-level positions included teacher, secretary, and so forth.
Infrastructure: Students could use the Wi-Fi offered on campus. The lab workers were actively involved in maintaining labs. Air conditioning and frequent maintenance were features of classrooms. It was a big library with lots of books. The hostel's cuisine was really clean and hygienic. It was easy to go to the hospital. Playing games and sports was strongly recommended.
Faculty: The quality of our rooms was among the top features that truly caught my attention. Excellent lecturers in our Physics and Chemistry labs provided clear explanations of everything. Everyone was extremely encouraging and helpful. Exams taken during the semester were mediocre. Consistent learning was a waste of time. The pass rate was 70%.

M.Sc. in Geology - Batch of 2026
3.4
2Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
My days at Central University of Punjab.
Placements: Placements are something that is lacking in the CUP. There are only few departments that are offering placements and all others don't have any placements. Most of the private companies are associated with the placement cell of CUP and still it needs improvement. There are no placements for the department of Geology.
Infrastructure: Course is good and the facility is also good. The labs are well maintained and Wi-Fi is somehow very bad. Library is open till 2:00 AM, and has a lot of security throughout your way back to the hostel. Mess and canteen are good and food is also good. It has a medical center with an ambulance facility. There are snakes during the summer and its a treat.
Faculty: Exams are quite tough and have surprise tests for students so studying everyday is mandatory. Faculty members teach us well so half the problem is solved. Exams will happen on the unannounced date, and they will prepare us to be ready for other competitive exams as well.
Other: They support the research primarily. There are very good lab facilities. They often have good syllabus and scholarships are also provided. Student crowd is not that big and has a peaceful atmosphere.
