There are two ways to get direct admission in Central University of Punjab for the academic session 2023-24:

• For PG and short term programs you can apply for the open/ direct admission for vacant seat by filling the online registration form and paying the admission fees online. You can check the provisional selection list for various programs on the university website.
• For PhD programme in department of computer Science and technology under vishvesvarya PhD scheme, you can check the provisional result of admission to the university website and follow the instruction given there.

Central University of Punjab University's MSc admission is conducted through the CUET PG exam. Candidates must fill out the online application form available on official website of the exam. While filling out the application form candidates must make selection of the university and programme they want to apply for. Candidats can follow the below steps to for Central University of Punjab University MSc admission:

Step 1: After adding the exam centre city preferences, candidates will then have to select the University/Programme selection.

Step 2: In this section, candidates are required to select the Central University of Punjab University first and then select the MSc programme.  After adding the university programme choices, save the details and move on to the next sections.

Central University of Punjab M.Tech fee is around INR 20,000 for two years. At the time of admission, the fee charged from the students includes tuition fee, examination fee, laboratory fee, sports fee, computer and internet fee and many other components. Central University of Punjab admission to BPharma course is subject to valid score in the CUET exam 2025. Therefore candidates cannot get direct admission in Central University of Punjab BPharma course. Students willing to get admission to the BPharma course will have to apply for the CUET 2025 exam. 

As per the official website of  Central University of Punjab, students are offered part-time jobs at the university to make them independent under the “Earn While You Learn" scheme. To be eligible candidates must have registered in CUPB for any programme are eligible to apply for the scheme. Some of the part-time jobs students can do under the scheme are as assistants in the library, laboratory, computer centre, and store.

The Central University of Punjab accepts CUET PG scores, followed by a counselling process for admisison to the MSc course.  Central University of Punjab BPharma course is inclusive of CUET exam's admission process. Candidates willing to secure admission to the Central University of Punjab BPharma course must have a bachelor's degree and a valid score in the CUET exam. The admission process begins with the beginning of the CUET exam in 2025. Candidates with a valid qualification must apply for the exam on the official website of the exam. After the NTA has released the CUET admit card, candidates must appear for the exam and secure a valid score.

The Central University of Punjab conducts the counseling rounds for students based on their CUET exam scores. After the counseling rounds, seats are allocated as per the exam score and availability of the seats. Once the seats are allocated, candidates must accept the cousre seats by paying the admisson fee.

National Testing Agency re-commenced CUET 2026 registration on February 23, 2026. Soon after the release of the CUET notification, candidates can check the important dates about CUET 2026. The last date for CUET 2026 registration was February 26, 2026 (11.50 PM).

Candidates were required to fill the CUET application form within the given time frame, failing which no request for extension of the CUET registration last date will be entertained. NTA does not provide the window for late fee payment. CUET 2026 application process is in online mode. No physical copies of the CUET application form must be sent to the authorities.

The Central University of Punjab (CUP) accepts the CUCET entrance test scores for admission to its MBA program. The university also accepts CUET-PG scores for admission to its MBA and PGDM programs. 

The university admits students to its MBA programme once a year. Admission is based on the CUCET entrance test results, followed by CUP counseling. The university offers only Masters and PhD programs. Admission to most of its PG courses is based on the CUCET entrance exam. 

CUCET Exam score followed by a round of personal interview are the basis of admission to postgraduate courses including MA, M.Sc., M. Ed., M.Com, LLM, MBA. Candidates must produce a score of GATE exam followed by counselling process.

The cutoff for PG courses like MA Political Science, MA Psychology, MBA Agribusiness, and MA International Relations and Political Science ranges from 270–230 to 280–240. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Commerce with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade. For SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD, the minimum is 50%. Candidates must also appear for the CUCET entrance exam for the academic year.
