Central University of Punjab MSc seats are allocated as per the counseling rounds that is conducted based on the CUET PG exam scores. After the counseling process, the university releases the provisional merit lists. All the candidates whose names are displayed on the admission are required to deposit the admission fee online through the online counseling portal for claiming their seat, failing which can lead to admission cancellation. Further, the Central University of Punjab also conducts spot or direct admission rounds for the remaining seats after the counseling rounds.

Since admisson to the MSc course is subject to CUET PG exam therefore candidates must refer to the entrance exam's dates. Further, the University releases the in-house admission dates for the counselling and provisional lists. CUET PG 2025 Hall Ticket released by NTA, the exam officials on the official website for the candidates whose exam will be held from March 13, 2025, to March 20, 2025. The admit cards for the CUET PG 2025 exam are being released phase-wise.
