Yes, NIRF ranking should be checked prior to admission to an engineering course since it gives a genuine assessment of the performance of a university, which is based on the government. Nevertheless, the ranking is not the only factor to be considered because other factors such as international exposure, infrastructure and industry relationships are important. Chandigarh University ranks 31 st in the field of Engineering according to the NIRF 2025 rankings, and Lovely Professional University (LPU) ranks 48 th in the field. Nevertheless, LPU has its minor peculiarity because it is also preferable due to the holistic education, the world-level facilities and the outstanding placement rates among the leading recruiters including Google, Amazon and Microsoft. The emphasis of LPU on innovation, entrepreneurship, and international learning prospects will make students well-industry professionals that are confident. Its colorful campus atmosphere, a multitude of different students, and never-ending improvement programs of the skills make LPU one of the most desired universities among the engineering students who want to become all-round and successful.

I don't know about 2021 rankings but as per the latest rankings CU is ranked #20 in NIRF 2024. Chandigarh University stood out among many private institutions, and it's reflected in its engineering disciplines, including Mechanical Engineering. They also don't offer B.Tech, instead they offer B.E. because it is globally recognised. The Mechanical Department here is not just about theory—it's a complete package. From Applied Thermodynamics, CNC Machines, and Fluid Mechanics Labs to industry-involved training centers like Mahindra & Honda, the curriculum is designed to meet industry demands. The engineering courses are also ABET and NBA Accredited. What really makes CU special is their focus on future tech like smart manufacturing, CAD/CAM, AI in mechanical, and Industry 4.0 concepts. They regularly host experts from top companies and foreign universities to bridge the gap between learning and practical application. So yes, if you're using NIRF as your decision metric, then Chandigarh University is definitely a smart and future-proof choice.

To be honest, I don't know much about Bengal College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) in Durgapur, West Bengal. But I can definitely talk about Chandigarh University (CU) since my real sister studied there, and I've seen firsthand how their CSE programme works. The CSE department at CU has pretty solid placement options. Big companies like Microsoft, IBM, and Google come to the campus to hire students. The pay packages are really good, which is great if you're aiming to kick off your career strong. Students don't just learn theory—they also get to work on real projects, which helps them become job-ready.They also organize a lot of workshops, guest lectures, and seminars. These events keep students in the loop about the latest tech trends and what's happening in the job market. So if you're someone who wants to learn and grow, CU gives you tons of chances.Overall, placements at CU are impressive. Companies like Amazon, Google, Flipkart, and Microsoft show up, and even big banks like HDFC, ICICI, and Axis come for hiring, offering great salary packages.

Few months back, I was also stuck in the same confusion. LPU or Chandigarh University. Both are good universities, but I would recommend you to go for CU, I am saying this because I have personally visited both the universities when I was planning to take admission, I observed, researched and checked may things and I picked CU for my academic journey and I can also tell u the reasons that why I picked it: Rankings and Accrediations CU is ranked #1 in QS Asia (Private) and #20 in NIRF India. It is also among the Top 120 universities in Asia.Modern Labs and MachinesThe university has advanced labs and technology like HPLC, Biochemical Analyzers, Rotary Tablet Press, PCR, and more. Separate labs for everything – Microbiology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Human Physiology. You don't just read about medicines. You actually see how they're made.Real Time TrainingThere's a lab called Pharmacy Practice Lab. You use real drug software here. There's even a Drug Info Centre. It feels like you're already working in a real hospital or pharmacy company.Research and ProjectsCU helps in patent filing. They even got a Tech Business Incubator. That means if you have a startup idea in pharma, CU supports from Day 1. Not just in name, they actually guide you how to do it.Global ExposureMore than 150+ international MOUs. That means chances to learn from outside experts, exchange programs, foreign universities. Good for students who want to go abroad later.Workshops and ExpertsSeminars, workshops, guest talks – all keep happening. Industry people, researchers come and talk. It helps a lot in knowing what's really happening in pharma field.PlacementsFrom 1st year, they start training. Resume, interview, skills – they guide everything. So by final year, you're fully ready and the placements are also so amazing. If you want a pharmacy course where you actually learn, do, build, and grow – Chandigarh University is a great place.

In my personal opinion, Chandigarh University emerges as a superior choice for pursuing Computer Science Engineering. The university enjoys strong global recognition, ranking #120 in the QS Asia University Rankings 2025 and #231 in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025 for Engineering & Technology. These accolades reflect CU's commitment to delivering high-quality education and cultivating industry-relevant skills. What truly sets Chandigarh University apart is its outstanding placement record. Leading global companies such as Microsoft, SAP Labs, and Samsung actively recruit from the campus, offering students exceptional career opportunities. Notably, a CU student recently secured a record-breaking international package of INR 1.7 crore, underscoring the university's global appeal and strong industry linkages. While Jaypee Noida has its own merits, it doesn't match Chandigarh University in terms of international recognition, placement outcomes, or corporate partnerships. For students serious about building a future-ready career in CSE, Chandigarh University offers a compelling and strategic advantage.

I was looking for a good university for the UID - Industrial Design course, and I came across Chandigarh University. This university has some really cool studios and labs where students can actually work on real projects instead of just reading books. They have a lot of workshops, expert talks, and training sessions, so you get to learn from real professionals. The best part is that they focus a lot on practical learning. You don't just sit in a classroom; you actually create designs, work on 3D models, and learn from experienced designers. The university has amazing software training, industrial experience, and even international opportunities.Another great thing is that this university is known for its placement support. When choosing between Chandigarh University and CGC Landran for CSE and placements, the decision depends on multiple factors like infrastructure, curriculum, industry exposure and placement opportunities.Chandigarh University has gained recognition for its modern approach to education, strong industry links and better placement records. So, when I was deciding where to do my MBA, I was a bit confused at first. I had heard about Chandigarh University and thought about giving it a try. I remember when I first stepped into the university, the management block was really impressive. It looked more like a corporate office than a college building. The glass architecture and the professional vibe of the place made me feel like I was in the right place. The whole campus was so clean, with lots of greenery and nice sitting areas. It was a perfect environment for studying. What stood out to me the most was the variety of management programs they offered. They don't just stick to regular MBA specializations like marketing or finance. There are so many great options, like Digital Marketing, Business Analytics, FinTech, HR, and even niche ones like Healthcare Management, Tourism, and Family Managed Business. The best part is that the courses are designed to meet industry needs. They've tied up with big companies like IBM, KPMG, and the NSE Academy to make sure the learning is practical and helps us get ready for the real world. They also have really well stocked labs, like the FinTech N-SMART Lab and the Business Management Lab, which have top systems and real-time data tools. I got to see students using these labs, and it was clear that they were getting hands-on experience, not just learning from books. They also have regular workshops and guest lectures, which really help in building skills. When I spoke to some senior students, I found out that they had received placement offers from companies like Amazon, ICICI, HDFC, and Deloitte. The placement cell here is very active and helps students with mock interviews, aptitude tests, and resume building. From my experience, this university provides a really good MBA education. The infrastructure, industry collaborations, and placement opportunities make it a smart choice for anyone who wants to pursue management studies.

When I was choosing a college for B.Tech in CSE, I had to decide between JSS Noida and Chandigarh University. After exploring both, I personally felt that Chandigarh University Offers more when it comes to exposure and modern learning.CU offers specialised CSE (Hons.) programs like Artifical Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Full Stack Development, and more — all in collaboration with IBM. You even get IBM certification and mentorship from industry professionals. They've also built industry- sponsered labs like Microsoft Labs, Oracle Lab, IBM Lab, and Red Hat Lab, so student can actually work with real tools and technologies that are used in companies. One thing I really liked is the focus on practical learning and projects. Plus, students get a chance to participate in state-level and national-level tech competitions, hackathons, and coding contests — which helps a lot in building confidence and trading confidence and real- world skills.

If your priority is being in the tech hub of India and being close to industry giants like Infosys, Wipro, and IBM, then colleges like R.V., PES, or Ramaiah in Bangalore offer the geographical advantage. They've been around longer and have established industry connections in the city. However, they also tend to have higher cutoffs, limited seats, and sometimes higher tuition costs—plus, hostel and living expenses in Bangalore are significantly more than in Punjab. On the flip side, Chandigarh University (CU) has been rapidly rising in rankings, and its CSE department is ABET and NBA accredited, which is a big deal for any engineering program. It offers affordable fees, scholarships up to 100%, and excellent placement records, with packages going up to INR 1.7 Cr/year and companies like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft visiting regularly. If you're looking for value, global exposure, and a modern campus with a strong academic system, CU is a really smart and practical choice.
