Merit Scholarship Schemes for the Academic Session 2022-2023
A) For Engineering Courses Scholarship based on JEE-Mains (All India Rank) Maximum of 5% of total intake seats in each Course shall be offered under the scheme.
Students getting AIR up to 25000 will get 100% Scholarship on Semester Fees
Students getting AIR 25001 to 50000 will get 75% Scholarship on Semester Fees

Top 10 award winners of NCSC every year will be given 100% fee waiver if they take admission in any UG course in Chandigarh University.
All Students who have participated in NCSC will be given 10% fee waiver if they take admission in any UG course in Chandigarh University.

H) CGPA Based Scholarship
10% of scholarship will be given to the students with 9.0 or above CGPA score if the student is not availing any other scholarship.

My university is overall good. It is an environmentally friendly university with good management.

Placements: In my Mechanical Course, the placement is very good. The previous years' placement results are also impressive, with the highest package offered around 24 LPA and an average of around 5 LPA. The university has a 100% placement offer. Many core companies like TATA, JSW, MARUTI SUZUKI, etc., recruit from our college.

Infrastructure: In my Mechanical Course, the labs are very well maintained, and Wi-Fi is provided in every lab. Fully AC labs are available. The medical facilities are also good in the college. The hostel facility is decent, with both fully AC and non-AC rooms provided, and the network service is very good. There is also a gym in the hostel, which is free of cost.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and the management is also good in this college. Teachers motivate the students at every point and provide extracurricular activities. The semester exams are average, and the checking is also lenient. In this university, there are fully experienced and knowledgeable teachers.

College review of CU.

Placements: An average of 40% of students were placed in our course. The highest package was 50 LPA, and the lowest was 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are IBM, Microsoft, Volvo, Cisco, and Infosys. Fifty percent of students got internships at Wipro, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, and Accenture.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are excellent. The classrooms and libraries are equipped with AC and Wi-Fi 24/7, and the labs are in good condition. The hostels provide both South and North Indian food, and the rooms are well-structured with cupboards.

Faculty: The faculty members are well-educated and helpful in providing information on whatever we need regarding coding competitions, hackathons, and other activities. The semester seems good when we read the syllabus. According to the LMS, the pass percentage is 75%.

Other: I chose this course based on my interest in coding. The depth of the subject should be improved. Events and fests are the more fun parts of university life, and we can enjoy those days.

Almost average college in north India with average placement.

Placements: Around 74 percent of students get placed here with the highest package of 54 lacs offered by Amazon, TCS, and Tata; the lowest package was 4 lacs; and the average was 6 lakhs. Around 10 percent of students get internships here from companies like JP Morgan, American Express, and Microsoft.

Infrastructure: The classes are big and well connected by Wi-Fi, but the labs are not so good with poor quality machines. The library is well maintained with all the books and newspapers; the hostels are the best as they have good mess food. The rooms are also neat and clean; and the medical facilities are available almost 24 hours a day. The sports facilities are also good.

Faculty: All the teachers are here are not so good. They have just a degree of Ph.D. from CU itself. They teach us from PPT. The course curriculum is relevant but does not make us industry-ready. The semester exams are not that difficult. They can easily be passed by just studying one hour before the exam. The pass percentage is 88 percent.

Other: I chose this because I wanted a B.Tech degree for my UPSC preparation. The campus is crowded, and almost every month events and festivals take place. And yes, they provide scholarships as well.

Placements: The highest package offered was around 60 LPA, the lowest was around 4 LPA, and the average was between 7-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies for CSE graduates include tech giants like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and Apple, along with IBM, Intel, and Oracle. Leading Indian IT firms like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro also offer ample opportunities. Additionally, startups and unicorns like Flipkart and Swiggy actively recruit CSE talent. About 70% of students got internships in top MNCs, with the top role offered being Project Manager.

Infrastructure: We have excellent facilities and infrastructure. We have AC classrooms, and everything is top-notch. The library is quite and has books related to every course. There are many restrictions in the hostel for students' safety; the food quality is average, but living conditions are top-notch. Every living room is cleaned properly every day.

Faculty: Yes, our teachers are all friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We have separate lab and theory classes, putting more focus on coding and soft skills. Semester exams are average, but everything comes from within the syllabus. The pass percentage is around 33%.

Other: I have done a Bachelor of Engineering and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Computer Science and Engineering. The teachers and professors in the engineering department are very qualified. In my course, everything is perfect, but we can ask for a little free time between each period. College is all about events and fests, and we have events and cultural fests every month. There are many opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities like hackathons, experiments, and patents.

Placements: Placements are very good compared to other campuses. Chandigarh University is one of the best colleges in India, even when compared to institutions worldwide. I also received a package of 7 LPA in an accounts role at the Mohali location, and many students got placed in top companies.

Infrastructure: The reason I rated the hostel 5 stars is that I enjoyed a lot at my hostel with my lovely friends. Although the fees were in lakhs, the enjoyment was infinite. The infrastructure at Chandigarh University is top-class, and everyone loves it.

Faculty: The curriculum is followed according to the norms set by the University Grants Commission (UGC), and this university provides top-quality education. Well-educated faculty are arranged for lectures, ensuring students can secure good packages and achieve higher goals.

Other: The value for money is evident in every aspect, such as infrastructure, scholarships, and connectivity, including outstation travel. People from foreign countries come to study at Chandigarh University.
