For admission to a four-year BTech course at Chandigarh University, candidates must passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. They also have studied any two of the subjects among Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology with minimum 50-60% aggregate (45% in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category). Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test -CUCET is conducted by the university for admission of candidates into BTech and other UG courses. Students must qualify the test for admission to the university. The university conducts this exam in two phases. 

In order to get admission to a full-time three-year course at Chandigarh University, candidates are required to fulfil the basic requirements for Chandigarh University BCA eligibility criteria as per the university norms. To get admission to BBA, Chandigarh University has prescribed minimum eligibility criteria that need to be fulfilled at the time of admission. Those who pass Class 12 in the respective subjects from a recognised university are eligible to apply for this course. The minimum required percentage in the last qualifying exam of Class 12 ranges from 50-60% aggregate. The minimum eligibility may differ from course to course as for admission to BBA (General) course, students should get a minimum of 50% aggregate, while for BBA (Hons) courses, students must get 60% aggregate in their high secondary final examination.

There is no specific cutoff score to get into the M.Sc. in Medical Lab Sciences at Chandigarh University. However, there is an entrance exam called CUCET that you can take to get scholarships and that is also not mandatory for biotechnology students.
