The fashion studies programme in Chandigarh University has been helpful to students in seeking their career internationally. Some Alumni have already becomes successful with well known Global fashion brands. For example, at least several Chandigarh alumni now work with Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, and maybe others under the umbrella of the Arvind group. The University has arrangements with major fashion and Lifestyle brands, so that it's students may become interns or placement points in those brands. Past alumni have said that their experience and exposure while studying at CU has helped them acclimate to an international job environment. Most have prospered in design, retail and brand management roles, indicating that the fashion program's effects can launch a career well beyond the local industry. Just to cultivate their idea set, there are Acoustics, Electrical, Building Construction, and Carpentry Workshop facilities besides host of other real-world laboratories wherein students dig into the practical world of architecture. CEASER lab stitches itself towards an energy-efficient and sustainable design. Many elective courses- students taking industry certifications in GRIHA or ASHRAE and projects mentored by the faculty-assure hands-on and climbing higher in deeper technicals even as they tie in with industry.

Yes, Chandigarh University moved up in NIRF 2025. In the university category, it is now at 19th rank. Last year it was 20th. In the overall list, the rank is 32, which is the same as last year. Some subjects also improved. Engineering went to 31 from 32. Management moved to 32 from 36. Pharmacy jumped from 20 to 15. Research ranking came for the first time at 34. Only Architecture went one step down from 13 to 14. So overall, the university showed progress in most areas.
