Chandigarh University is really good for ECE because it gives you a mix of theory and practical learning. The department has modern labs like Embedded Systems Lab, PCB Design Lab, and Robotics Lab where you can work on real projects. You also get to study advanced topics like AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, and 5G. The best part is the industry exposure—big companies like Intel, Samsung, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon visit the campus regularly for placements. The faculty are experienced and guide students in research and projects. With workshops, competitions, and certifications, you get to learn skills that really matter in the industry. I personally loved that it prepares you well for both jobs and further studies in electronics and communication.

Chandigarh University offers many kinds of specialised setups to give students real exposure. There are labs for data science, AI, speech and vision, and even cloud computing. Students also work in hardware and software testing labs that run with the help of industry partners like Virtusa, IBM, and Oracle. Networking is covered through the CISCO lab, while soft skills are shaped in communication labs. Some labs focus on projects and team-driven learning, while others allow research on machine learning, image processing, or cyber security. A few centers act as collaboration hubs between industry and academia, helping students connect real-world projects with classroom studies.

CU does not compromise when it comes to eligibility for M.Sc. in Data Science. The criteria are very clear: a bachelor's degree with Math, Statistics, or Computer Science as one of the subjects and at least 50% marks in aggregate. Eligible streams include B.A., B.Sc., BCA, B.Com (Statistics), Commerce with Mathematics, and B.E./B.Tech. If you don't fit into this category, you simply cannot enroll. The reason is that Data Science requires strong analytical and computational skills, and without prior exposure to these subjects, students would struggle. CU follows this requirement strictly to maintain academic quality and to ensure that admitted students can cope with the advanced concepts taught. So, unlike some courses where exceptions may be made, here the rule is firm—no subject background, no admission.

Information Security at Chandigarh University has one area with which many know-it-alls are very interested: placement. Here, the span is very broad. The highest international figure reached 1.7 crore from a US company, while the national part went up around 54.75 LPA. Some other really big offers included around 50 LPA from Google, over 52 LPA from Charter Global, and 36 LPA from Arcesium. Average packages mostly remain between 8 to 9 LPA, with minimum offers nearing 3.5 LPA from companies like Wipro and Capgemini. Almost every year some of the big recruiters coming include Microsoft, Amazon, and IBM, besides Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Accenture, and Bosch. Not everyone benefits regarding placement, but well-renowned good skills in coding, cybersecurity and projects land jobs with good packages. The range is quite broad, and opportunities cover both global and national companies.
