Media Studies Department needs better faculty.
Placements: I am currently in my 2nd year, but many of my seniors have secured good internships at reputed media houses like Republic, Hindustan Times, and Times of India. The department often invites industry professionals to provide real-world exposure. Many seniors from the English Department have also been placed in companies like Unacademy and Penguin.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are spacious and clean, which is true for the entire campus. We also have a dedicated media library, along with two large libraries that offer free Wi-Fi and PCs for students to use. Additionally, resources like Coursera courses, extra devices, Adobe Cloud, and Edzter are provided as needed.
Faculty: Some faculty were great, especially in the English and Cultural Studies departments. In the case of Media Studies, there is room for improvement. The Media course mostly includes practical papers, and English as well, especially since the Learner-Centric Approach was introduced. The course is very relevant and well-prepared. I don’t think the exams are very difficult, they are practical.
Other: Curriculum is great, updated and practical. I wish the faculty were as strong and the coordination better. There are many options for anyone looking to expand their horizons. Networking opportunities on campus are excellent.

Academically focused college with enough opportunities to grow your talent.
Placements: The placement rate is 75%, and students with excellent grades and co-curricular participation are placed in top MNCs, including Xaant, which is a psychology company based in Bangalore. Other companies like Deloitte and Accenture also offer placements to Christ students.
Infrastructure: The hostel has excellent facilities for males and females, with clean washrooms, clean rooms, and enough space. The Wi-Fi facility in both the college and hostel is good, with jammers on specific sites like Instagram.
Faculty: The teachers are mostly from the southern part of India, which creates a language barrier. Teaching materials are provided well in advance, and rote learning is discouraged in the institution. The exams have situation-based questions, and students are passed after scoring 40% in each exam. There are mid-semester and end-semester exams, with continuous internal grade assessment.
Other: The university has enough events and fests to keep students busy and engaged. The campus is safe, and the environment is always bustling with students.

Christ, To join or not to join: a look into a Christites life.
Placements: With regards to placements, I wouldn't have any first-hand experience as I am only in my first year. I have spoken to my 3rd-year seniors and I think 1/3rd of them have got placed in some good organisations which some are joining right after graduation. Some students are not too happy with their placements so they will search for another place elsewhere and the rest are looking at completing their higher education.
Infrastructure: I wish this wasn't categorised together as the hostel and university are separate. Classrooms are decent, and the network is horrible due to the large internet traffic. We have 2 major libraries that are incredible learning hubs. I don't have any first-hand experience in the hostel as a lot of students in Christ stay in PGs. The hostel is not good and it's much better staying in a nearby PG.
Faculty: Teachers are incredibly knowledgeable in their respective subjects. The teaching quality so far is quite nice. The course curriculum for Psychology is relevant but I hope some reforms can happen for English, and I enjoy what I study but I feel that there can be more. Semester exams are tough especially end-semester examinations during, even semesters (2nd, 4th, 6th). However, I also feel that if daily studying happens it is much easier. The course is well-structured, and not just focusing on the 2 main subjects but also on building other skills such as academic writing, languages, etc.
Other: I chose this course because I like both subjects, and I still haven't decided what I want to be in the future so this course helps me navigate toward what path I will choose. The course has been great and can't really complain seeing the other courses. CIAs should be relevant to the course and shouldn't be so painstaking. Christ is a place where extracurriculars are prioritised just as much as attendance. It is quite hectic but we will be able to work around it after 2-3 month.

Can improve a lot in the humanities department.
Placements: Not a lot of people get placed in this course. The rate is quite low as compared to others. One of the top recruiters our departwas Zomato. No scope of int, one has to apply by himself. The highest offered was 10 Lacs per annum. The top role was data analysis.
Infrastructure: The classroom for our department studies is quite the average mark with wooden comfortable benches. There are jammers located in each part of the building so that the students can't use Wi-Fi. The library is the only race, a good collection but can be done better with ventilation. Canteen is the highlight with all over six available in number.
Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful and qualified having committed to their circulam. The teaching quality certain teachers is quite good. The course circulam for the second year was not much relevant. I wouldn't say that this course makes students industrial ready. The exams are quite average to difficult.
Other: I chose this course to see the blend of economics with sociology. The best thing about the course is it to think at an above par level. The curriculum can be made better with more practical life and industrial ready methods can be included. The events and the extracurricular activities are the highlight of the day.

Best years of my life.
Placements: Placements for B.A. course is available, however the liklihood of you securing your job will depend on your skillset and experience. The B.A. course is an extremely general degree and we don't necessarily walk out with skills equipped for employment. They do provide with electives, offered directly by the Indian Government but increasing your employability will be completely upto you.
Infrastructure: Im from Bangalore, hence I cant really describe about the hostel experience. But from what ive heard I think the hostel facility is pretty decent. As for the campus, its an amazing experience in and of itself. We have a beautiful campus, lots of eateries, lots of place to sit and chill around. There arent many restrictions to using the facilities at Christ as long as you know who to talk to. Classrooms in the new blocks are stellar, however the old blocks are pretty average. We have two main libraries, with plenty of resources and constantly being updated. We do conduct department level sports competitions from time to time, however Christ provides great sports scholarship for students who are playing at national, state and college level.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are very helpful and sweet. You can approach them with your problems, doubts and they will help you. The professors at Christ are constantly updated, almost all of them have PhD's and are very skilled. They have lots of teaching experience and encourage students to explore their interests as well. The B.A. course specifically, isn't to make you industry ready rather it gives you an idea of what you might like to specialize (Post graduation). The course plan is pretty straightforward, if you have already studied humanities its like walking in the park. As for the sem exams, it really depends on how well you study, pass percentage is the same as school, 20/50 and 40/100.
Other: The campus is always buzzing with events, fests and competition. Its rarely ever quiet. Students are always ready to mingle, if your someone who likes making friends youd love our campus. There are plenty of opportunities for students to be a part of several organizations, clubs and activities. You can easily get through most of their selection and some provide credits as well.

Studying Psychology at Christ university central campus.
Placements: Not a lot of people from our course applied for placements because its not exactly a professional course, and a Masters degree is essential for a lot of the fields. However, the people who did apply for placements got packages of about INR 20,000 to 40,000 a month.
Infrastructure: The labs are well equipped, and the library spans five floors. There are over 25 eateries on campus, and at least one medical room in every block. In addition, there are three basketball courts, a football ground, a hockey ground, and a volleyball court. The classrooms are also well maintained.
Faculty: The faculty is highly experienced and knowledgeable in their own respective fields. A lot of them also go out of their way to provide individual guidance to their students. The course plan is very descriptive, and the course itself is well planned. Exams are hard, and the assignments are very hectic to cope with. However, proper resources are always provided.
Other: I chose Christ University because it is consistently ranked among the best psychology colleges. It has received an A+ NAAC rating every year I have been here. I love the practicality of the course, but the schedule is hectic. The fests are great, especially the flagship fest, Ethnic Day. It's a great day to spend with friends.
