It is the best college in India.

Placements: Placements are not good. There is no such guarantee for placements in this college. Few opportunities are available in this course.

Infrastructure: All facilities are satisfactory in our college. This college provides the best scientific laboratories in the country to test various materials. Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Classrooms are well-maintained. There is a decent library, and several books are available.

Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable in their respective fields. They always clarify our doubts. The teaching quality is better. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are not easy.

Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in it. Our college should improve its placements and facilities. Events are conducted in this college.

It has extraordinary faculty members and a library. A placement cell would have been a bonus.

Placements: Though opportunities are provided occasionally, the college doesn't do so formally. It doesn't have a formal placement cell. The faculty sends notifications of opportunities as and when available, and students are free to apply or not. This is a research institute, and it encourages more students to take up research after the course ends.

Infrastructure: Classrooms and language laboratory are satisfactory. The library has a very rich collection of books. The hostel and the quality of food in the mess are as one would expect those of a public college to be. Medical insurance is available for students who want to opt for it. There are no pharmacies or infirmaries available inside the campus. There is enough space within the campus to indulge in any sport one likes.

Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and extremely knowledgeable. They are very humble, helpful, and good at interacting with students. They are not there to spoon-feed everything to students. They are not going to make the notes for students. The curriculum is totally relevant to the purpose Deccan College serves. It clears the student's base in linguistics. However, the syllabus is based mostly on the theoretical aspect. If someone is into Applied Linguistics or Computational Linguistics, they should apply to some other university or try the Certificate course at Deccan College. Though there are papers on Applied and Computational Linguistics, the focus is primarily placed on Sociolinguistics, Phonetics, Historical Linguistics, etc.
