University of Kerala Selection Process 2026
Kerala University conducts an entrance exam for PG courses. For most of the UG programmes, admission is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. For MBA, the university accepts national or state-level entrance exams such as CAT, CMAT and KMAT. Merit List & Counselling
Once the candidates are selected, Kerala University releases a course-wise merit list. Aspirants with their names on the merit list are required to participate in the Centralised Allotment Process conducted by the university. Admission to MBA, MCA, MAHRM, MPE, MSW, MFA and MASLP courses will not come under Centralised Allotment Process. There is no centralized allotment for seats under Management Quota. Yes, admission to the postgraduate-level course is based on a common entrance exam conducted by the university. It is conducted by CSSAC. Kerala University releases seat allotment results online on the official website of the university. After the first allotment, aspirants can check the link on their profile for allotment. Aspirants do have to be at the campus after allotment. They need to pay the programme fee to confirm their seat in the university. Candidates who remit the fee after first allotment within the prescribed time will have the facility to cancel/ activate their higher options before the second allotment during a specified period which will be
notified.
Yes, Kerala University offers admission to BSc Geology based on Class 12 score. The university considers the merit of the candidates in last qualifying exam for admission. Aspirants must pass Class 12 in relevant subject to apply for BSc admission. The requirement of subjects varies specialisation-wise. After meeting the selection requirements, candidates have to participate in Centralised Allotment Process to get a seat in the university.
Kerala University provides offers three-year BCA, LL M, BSc, BEd, BVoc, BA, BBA, BCom, BFA, BHMCT, BMS, and BSW courses, five-year BArch two-year BEd and four-year BHM and BTech courses at the undergraduate level. At the postgraduate level, Kerela University provides two-year MTech, MSc, MA, MEd, MArch, MA, MCA, MCom, MCJ, MPA, MPEd, MPlan, MSW and MVA courses, and one-year MLISc course. Additionally, the University of Kerela also provides MPhil and PhD programmes to the students. The criteria for admission to undergraduate programmes at Kerala University, with the exception of BTech, BPA BFA and BEd are merit-based and based on class 12 exam results. Additionally, the entrance test is the basis for all PG admissions.
