Maitreyi college which comes under South campus of Delhi university is known to be one of the top women's college in India. The ranking of maitreyi college is even higher than 39 top private colleges of india and this year it received NAAC A+ grade in evaluation survey. The college was established in 1967 and was named under the vedic sage maitreyi. Maitreyi is famous for its grade and every year receives awards and recognition for having the best garden in the whole university campus of Delhi university. The college offers various courses in the domain of Science arts and commerce having excellent teachers of having decades of experience in subject.

Fee refund policy of Faculty of Law, DU is as follows:

• If a student withdraws admission before the last date of admission, full refund of fee with a deduction of INR 5,000 is given to the student. Refunds are initiated after admissions close and processed within 3 months to the original payment source.
• No refunds are given for withdrawals made after the last date. 
• Admission Fee is not refunded if a candidate is found ineligible at any stage.
• Registration fee and withdrawal fee are non-refundable in any case.

At present, DU consists of 80+ departments including North & South campuses. It has 77 affiliated colleges and 5 other institutes with an enrollment of more than 1.3 lakhs regular and 2.6 lakhs non-regular students. Some of the colleges under DU are SRCC, Kirori Mal College, LSR, Hansraj College, Hindu College, Gargi, Sri Venkateshwara College and Miranda House among others. Recognised by UGC as the 'Institute of Excellence', Delhi University is listed among the most prestigious educational institutions in India. The entrance exams accepted by the university include CUET DUET and DU LL.B. Entrance Test among others.

DU infrastructure includes several modern amenities and state-of-the-art infrastructure for its students. The university provides transport facilities, banking facilities, a university library, and several other facilities for its students across all its affiliated colleges. DU consists of 34 libraries across all of its campuses in Delhi. It has a total of 15 hostels for its students on the north and south campuses.
