MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2028
Offered by Assam Medical College
4.0
5.0Placements4.0Infrastructure4.0Faculty3.0Crowd & Campus Life4.0Value for Money
Assam Medical College and Hospital is the oldest medical college in the Northeast of India.
Placements: Being a government medical college, Assam Medical College doesn't have the usual campus placement drives that engineering or medical colleges talk about. After completing 4.5 years of academics, we do a compulsory one-year internship in our own hospital. During the internship, we get a stipend of Rs. 36,000–Rs. 37,000 per month nowadays.
Infrastructure: Facilities for MBBS at AMCH are overall decent. Most classrooms have smart boards. It also has projectors and AC. Labs in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, and microbiology are functional. We get enough specimens and equipment for practicals, though sometimes things get crowded because of the batch size. The library has a good collection of textbooks and reference books and proper reading rooms. Wi-Fi is available in library. My hostel is a 350-bedded boys' hostel. Rooms are basic. 2 students stay in one room. Water and electricity are available 24 hours, and security with CCTV is okay.
Faculty: Most teachers are senior, qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good, especially in clinical subjects. They help if we approach them. The curriculum follows the NMC CBME pattern and is relevant. Lots of clinical exposure makes us industry-ready. Final-phase exams are moderately difficult, and internal assessment is strict, but the pass percentage is high, around 85–90%, if we prepare well.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become a doctor and serve people in our religion. The best part is the heavy patient load and excellent clinical exposure in AMCH. The campus is peaceful but crowded during the daytime and OPD hours, but hostel life is wonderful. Things that need improvement are mess food quality, Wi-Fi consistency, maintenance of the hostel, and cleanliness around the campus. Our college week, Synapse, is the highlight, with cultural and sports events. The campus crowd is good. Surroundings are green and quiet. Dibrugarh town, railway, and airport are easily accessible. Scholarships are for eligible students.

B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, DUIET, Dibrugarh University.
Placements: More than 50% of students from the current outgoing batch get placed. The highest package is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tech Mahindra and Square Yards. All students get internships in many tech companies like BSNL and Airtel. The top role is Engineer Trainee.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. We have 2 computer labs with Wi-Fi facilities. Classrooms are quite big, with smartboards and projectors. Students have a vast opportunity for games and sports on campus. The food is good. The mess facilities are good.
Faculty: Teachers are quite good. They explain the topics very well. The semester exams are quite difficult. We have to study so we can easily clear the exams. The pass percentage is 90+, which is quite good. The course structure is well-made.
Other: It is the best course in Assam. Events always happen. It has events like Tech Fest and Varsity Week.

Review of Lakhimpur Kendriya Mahavidyalaya.
Placements: 27 percent of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 2.5 LPA. The lowest salary is around Rs. 75,000 as a social worker or in an NGO. Every student in the 5th semester got an internship in Ranganodi Travel and Mushroom Cultivation. Roles offered are civil servants and social workers.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the college are good. The classrooms are pretty clean. There are labs present in the college. There is also a library available on campus. Overall infrastructure is good. The buildings look clean and there are a lot of trees available with a fresh vibe.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They mainly focus on the students and make them better. They mainly focus on the students' learning. Lectures provided by them are very understandable. The course is not very curriculum relevant but there are curriculum activities also available. The semester exam isn't very difficult. The pass percentage is 24 percent.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested, it is very socio-friendly. I don't want to change a lot of things in my college. Events like the annual sports day are conducted by the college and there are scholarships like Nijut Moina available for girls.

I am satisfied with faculty of this college.
Placements: We completed an internship at Coal India Limited in coal testing and analysis. There were no recruiting companies for my course. Around 20% of students received internships through the college. The highest package offered in my course was Rs. 70,000. The lowest was Rs. 5,000.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay. Our course does not have AC or cooling facilities. Wi-Fi and labs are basic. The food available in the canteen is hygienic. Medical facilities are also available for emergencies. Sports and games are conducted on the annual day.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. The concepts are easy to understand. They help us achieve good results in our end-semester exams. The course curriculum is relevant. The semester exams are very easy.

Good infrastructure and facilities overall.
Placements: In our college, we don't have a placement cell since it is a government-run institution. Though opportunities for NCC cadets to get into government jobs are high, other than that, there are next to no opportunities. Since it is a semi-government institution, it has good faculty members.
Infrastructure: The course followed is NEP. Classrooms are well-equipped with smart boards, air-conditioning, fans, and Wi-Fi. Canteen food is satisfactory. Hostel facilities are good. There are different sports facilities with mentors, like kabaddi, kho-kho, and football. The NCC programme has good mentorship.
Faculty: Every Head of the Department has a PhD degree. The course curriculum is designed according to NEP standards. The semester exams are quite easy but difficult to score in since the marking is done strictly. The pass percentage is 45–50 percent. Students have to take separate internships.
Other: I chose this course because college is near my hometown. The course is very affordable, free for families whose income is less than Rs. 4 lakhs. The events in our college are good. There is a cell in our college that hosts MUNs, sports, etc.

Bahona College is a journey to future studies.
Infrastructure: The department is very good. There is a separate museum for History students to learn more about our past. A separate library is also available. Classrooms are excellent. My home is near the college, but some of my friends stay in the hostel, and it is also good for students. The canteen food is average.
Faculty: Teachers are very good at teaching. They are always ready to help. The semester exams are not tough for those who study, and the pass percentage is 100%. Teachers are highly qualified. They help me a lot because of my curiosity to learn about world history.
Other: I chose this course because my dream is to serve the nation as an IAS officer. I am grateful to my teachers and my beloved college. Everything is excellent. The college is great. If you study here, teachers are very polite to students. It is a great opportunity for you to prepare for competitive exams after completing a B.A. in History. History is a very good subject for those who are interested in knowing about our past and great achievements.
