Beautiful and stunning campus .

Placements: Generally language courses get placement and rest the placement rates are really low. Almost negligible placement for stem courses. The average package is 6 lpa for Chinese and Japanese courses. I see a lot of companies coming in for recruitment. Generally placement takes place in mncs for the position of translator.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is worth appreciating. It a lush green location with beautiful locations nearby. One can fall for the place, so photogenic. It's a really huge campus. Doon University is well-equipped with all the facilities like well maintained lab, large and clean classroom and library. Separate hostel for boys and girls with single occupancy. Food in the mess has variety and better in taste as compared to other hostels.

Faculty: Teachers are really very helpful and mostly are well qualified except a few temporary staff. The quality of teaching is upon to the standards. The courses are designed really well and it helps the students get a better idea of industry requirements right now. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty and depends upon the teacher about the level of the paper. Although the pass percentage is high enough i.e. 80% generally.

Other: I am a Masters in Physics student and really like the curriculum. All the facilities are upto the mark. Due to covid we didn't had any programs like fests and other activities. But overall its a good experience being here at the college.

It is an awesome college of Dehradun.

Placements: As per the college report, they placed 98% students. In my field, related to environment and also in other departments also, the placement cell is very good. Teachers cooperate with every student during the time of placement. The students also clear the government exam after doing masters in environmental science.

Infrastructure: It is the best college in the northern region. Doon University has the largest lab of environmental science. There is free Wi-Fi on the campus. The computer lab is fully upgraded according to time. The medical facilities are also very good. Doon University has very good ground for cricket, and also wooden badminton court is available. Indoor games are provided. Events and fests are also done in our university.

Faculty: The teachers are very good. All the teachers are highly qualified. Even many of the teachers researched foreign universities. The teachers are very useful for students in providing the best notes, which are very clearly understood by the students.

Q: Is attendance compulsory at Doon University for BA programme?

According to Doon University’s rule, students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance to appear in the end-semester examinations.

In exceptional cases, the Vice-Chancellor may allow the shortage of attendance to the extent of 5% and that too on the recommendation of the HoD concerned according to the conditions laid down by the Academic Council.

Students whose total attendance is less than 75% will not be allowed to appear in the end semester examination and will be declared fail for that semester and year accordingly.
