B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2029
4.4
College is good as compared to other state-funded universities, but still, the department.
Placements: Better than other government state-funded universities, it also has an average infrastructure, but supportive faculty and co-curricular activities are promoted. The placement rate of the college is quite low, but according to the data, it's 60%, and for other departments, it’s 45%.
Infrastructure: Good hostel with separate rooms for boys in the boys' hostel and the same for girls, with 4 meals a day and proper living facilities like a bed, table, and chair. The timings are very strict for both boys and girls, and the wardens are helpful and supportive.
Faculty: Time-to-time exams and results in a quick review system with almost a perfect checking system. Any query is solved quickly during or after the exams by the department HOD, and the examination cell itself, and the date of the exams is almost on time as promised.

B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2029
4.0
This is the best college we can get to JEE Main in less percentile.
Placements: The percentage is good, like 70–80 percent, and the highest package is 21 LPA while the lowest package is 3.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Tech Mahindra, HCL, Wipro. There is also an internship programme for students to get placed in such companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good as compared to many state universities. The Wi-Fi, labs, and libraries are well connected, and the classrooms are still well maintained. The quality of the mess and canteen is good enough.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable enough to teach anyone to get a well-qualified job. The course curriculum is relevant as compared to other colleges, and the students are also industry-ready for the work to be done and the loads to be taken.

B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2030
4.0
This is an average to better college through JEE Main, which offers a good throughput.
Placements: All most 70 percent of the students pass and are placed through the campus placements. The highest package is 21 LPA and the lowest is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies for my course are TCS, Tech Mahindra, HCL, Wipro, and many more. The internship percentage is high.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good compared to any other state university. The course department, as well as libraries and classrooms, are well furnished, and Wi-Fi coverage is okay. The quality of facilities is not too bad, neither too good. Overall, activities are average.
Faculty: The course is curriculum-based. They just stick to a book and keep repeating it, and it also doesn't get completed anyway. They just want to cover the syllabus, and the percentage is almost 65 percent out of 100 percent students. The students are industry-ready, they don't lack knowledge.

Poor faculty and curriculum the only good thing is campus infrastructure and environment.
Placements: Right now the course has been newly introduced here last year, so there's no passed out batch but the faculty promises to bring companies and internships to the college. The campus crowd is very generic, you will not find the environment very competitive and tough. Its more of relaxed which is also a sort of a drawback because a better peer group gears you up and ignites competition.
Infrastructure: Starting from college -classroom infrastructure I would say is average. The issue of Wi-Fi is there but its resolvable. Library has good resources and books, really liked it. The hostel that has been newly built is exceptionally good in comparison to hostels all over India. Rooms are spacious and you get really good storage facilities too. The drawbacks are the sanitation in washrooms and water coolers in hostels as well as in the academic buildings. Washrooms are in really the worst state and so are the water coolers. The administration really needs to work on them. As for the medications and sports facilities you get ample opportunities along with the opportunity to enroll in NCC and NSS.
Faculty: The faculty, curriculum and study is a major drawback here. Though its understandable to some level since the course is newly introduced but still the flaws stand out much. The faculty members recruited are with no-experience and poor teaching skills. We only have CS labs and no other mechanical, or electrical labs. In short definitely a big and major drawback is the faculty and curriculum.

The best college in Dehradun .
Placements: The percentage of the students who get placed every year is 90%. The students get placed in their core profile jobs. The college has a dedicated placements cell that looks after the whole process of the placements and the college also provides us with internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided to us in our college are top-notch as it is the best college in Dehradun and the college also provides all the amenities that are required to have the best of our college life. The quality of the food in the mess is also good and unique dishes are served every day.
Faculty: The teachers are extremely helpful, qualified and very knowledgeable. The teaching quality has also been great as they use audio-video visuals in the college to deliver good classroom content. The course curriculum is extremely relevant to the industry requirements.

    Review of Doon University.
Placements: Don't expect much from this college in terms of placements, and almost nobody gets placed, at least in the computer science branch. But, if students are taking admission in language courses, then we will most likely get placed. Data on the internet is mostly correct about placements with a little bit of exaggeration.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty good. Hostels are in very bad condition, especially the boys' hostel, which is poorly maintained. But when we look at the campus, it's far superior to any other college in Dehradun. Especially, the lecture hall complex, which has some of the best classrooms.
Faculty: At first, I thought faculty members were bad, but they are pretty helpful most of the time. They just make sure we don't disrespect them. In my course, faculty members are very supportive, and they used to give great advice about career and all. The best part is nobody is mean to any student because faculty members are still young compared to other college professors.

Doon University - A decent college for B.Tech students with good infrastructure.
Placements: There weren't many students this year who applied for admission. The seats available in the second round were 30, and the number of students that applied was 25. The average package of the university is around 4-5 LPA, as I know from the university placements. The top recruiting companies are TCS and Infosys at my university. There were several internship programs during the winter vacation, but not many students applied for them. The top roles are coding and web development provided by the university.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is still in progress for the School of Technology and other courses. Most of the buildings are already built, and they are quite nice. The campus is filled with greenery and clean roads, with a very nice aesthetic attached to it. The hostels look nice from the outside but are quite dirty inside the boys' hostel. The mess food is very good and tasty at times. The labs are still in development. There aren't any good labs in the college. The Wi-Fi in the college is very poor in the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are nice, though a few are not very knowledgeable and seem to have gotten here through internal connections. The quality of teaching is good for only a few teachers. The course curriculum feels outdated to me. They should add new subjects in line with the latest technologies. The exams were very tough compared to the knowledge the teachers provided, feeling mostly out of syllabus or too challenging. The results were given in grades. Students don't really get industry-ready until they complete some projects and internships.
Other: I chose this course because I had a decent JEE Main rank, and this college was near my house. I have an interest in Computer Science, AI & ML, which is why I took it. There were a few fests in the university. Many events also happened, like a hackathon in October 2025. The Wi-Fi in the hostel is good, but the Wi-Fi in the campus is quite good. There is a good locality around the campus, and the non-hosteller students can live nearby. There were many opportunities provided by the campus for internships and scholarships.
