Honest and balanced, the college is affordable, warm, and worth it.

Placements: Placements in our course are decent, though not extraordinary. Around 60–70 percent of students secure jobs through campus drives.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course is functional but could use upgrades. Classrooms are spacious with basic amenities such as whiteboards, projectors, and fans.

Faculty: Faculty in our department is a mixture of seasoned professionals and passionate educators. Most professors are approachable, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in student growth. Faculty members are good and easy to work with.

Other: The campus crowd is vibrant, diverse, and full of energy. Students come from various states and backgrounds. It creates a rich cultural blend. Events like fests, debates, and cultural nights brings everyone together. They are fostering friendships and collaboration. Atmosphere is generally positive. Along with seniors are helpful and inclusive. Campus life is lively. There are hangout spots, study corners, and open spaces for relaxation. Canteen provides decent food. The chai stall is a favourite among students. I like everything in this college. It is a nice college. I love the easy accessibility of information and the very good placements.

Value for money and a great college.

Placements: Particularly in B.A., a very small percentage of students with English honours are hired for an internship or placement. 6 LPA is the highest package that has ever been offered in this course. Only PhD scholars from this course get an opportunity for campus internship.

Infrastructure: The department has a huge building which includes Wi-Fi labs and well-maintained and clean classrooms, and a central library for everyone. The washrooms are clean, the hostel food sometimes disappoints you, and the quality of food is average, but the infrastructure is very good.

Faculty: Faculty members are so helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching methods are good in this course. Mostly, you will be taught by some PhD scholars and sometimes the assistant professors themselves. Exams are good. The exam paper is created by faculty members themselves. The teacher who teaches you will make the paper by himself, and you can pass your exam with 40% minimum.

Other: Personally, I wanted to pursue the scores because of my writing habits, I love to write. These courses provide you with the best opportunity to enhance your writing skills and your literature knowledge. I wish this department had a uniform. The university campus is so green and filled with flowers and trees. The department organised many events and festivals in the university.

Doon University - A decent college for B.Tech students with good infrastructure.

Placements: There weren't many students this year who applied for admission. The seats available in the second round were 30, and the number of students that applied was 25. The average package of the university is around 4-5 LPA, as I know from the university placements. The top recruiting companies are TCS and Infosys at my university. There were several internship programs during the winter vacation, but not many students applied for them. The top roles are coding and web development provided by the university.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is still in progress for the School of Technology and other courses. Most of the buildings are already built, and they are quite nice. The campus is filled with greenery and clean roads, with a very nice aesthetic attached to it. The hostels look nice from the outside but are quite dirty inside the boys' hostel. The mess food is very good and tasty at times. The labs are still in development. There aren't any good labs in the college. The Wi-Fi in the college is very poor in the hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are nice, though a few are not very knowledgeable and seem to have gotten here through internal connections. The quality of teaching is good for only a few teachers. The course curriculum feels outdated to me. They should add new subjects in line with the latest technologies. The exams were very tough compared to the knowledge the teachers provided, feeling mostly out of syllabus or too challenging. The results were given in grades. Students don't really get industry-ready until they complete some projects and internships.

Other: I chose this course because I had a decent JEE Main rank, and this college was near my house. I have an interest in Computer Science, AI & ML, which is why I took it. There were a few fests in the university. Many events also happened, like a hackathon in October 2025. The Wi-Fi in the hostel is good, but the Wi-Fi in the campus is quite good. There is a good locality around the campus, and the non-hosteller students can live nearby. There were many opportunities provided by the campus for internships and scholarships.

True review of Doon University located in Dehradun, a state university.

Placements: A minimum of 10% of students got placed. The highest package is around 9 LPA and the average is 5.5 LPA. There are recruiting companies like Reliance, Decathlon, etc. Internships are offered in different companies mentioned above. Roles are offered to students as per their qualifications.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library are very good. Library is for all not just for hustlers. The quality of hostel is fine. Overall, the quality of food available in mess and canteen and medical facilities is very poor. Sports and games are fine overall as well.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified, helpful, and good. They make students industry-ready. Exam level is medium. 95% of students pass. Students can prepare just in few days before the exam. It is very easy for me in 1st year and it also depends on students as well.

Other: College is near my house. There are fewer students. Events are conducted in the university.

Value for money University with best in class faculty and ample of growth opportunities .

Placements: Out of 57 students, 5 have been placed by the time of writing this review. Mostly HR and marketing centric roles were offered such as marketing executive, HR executive, recruitment consultant. Multiple companies came to the campus such as Posterity inc, Triveni Almirahs, S&P Global, Decathlon etc.

Infrastructure: The Building for the Management department has been constructed just two years back at the beginning of our course. It is truly state of the art with sufficient advanced teaching aids and technological tools such as SMART boards, audio video tools etc. The building is equipped with CCTV cameras to ensure security of students. The campus is the largest in Dehradun and as soon as you enter you would be greeted with chirping birds and a variety of flowers and plants.

Faculty: The faculty is truly the best with years of experience under their belt, they are more than happy to help you whenever required, just be sure to respect their time. There is however a degree of internal politics here, which you must steer clear of.

Other: The MBA here is truly Value for money with ample of opportunities for growth and development. The placement cell here truly puts in a lot of efforts to enable students to be ahead of the competition with additional courses, guest lectures, training etc. And being a government University, the fee is nominal.

Review of Doon University.

Placements: According to my seniors in our department and other different departments, some students say the overall placement experience here is not that good but on the other hand. Many companies hire students from the language course or department from the university so in short language courses have a good and decent placement.

Infrastructure: Labs in our department are well maintained and have a good infrastructure. All systems are working properly so yes it's in good condition and the Wi-Fi is also very stable sometimes it is unstable but overall good. As for the hostel, the hostel infrastructure is very well, especially in Mandakini Girls hostel. I prefer you should apply for this one only. The rooms are bigger and the washrooms are also cleaned and maintained There tv room for entertainment and, a reading room for studying. The mess food is average not too good and not too bad.

Faculty: The faculty of our department i.e. the Computer Science department (School Of Technology) is very good and supportive. They are very skilled and also help students in their projects. The curriculum of course is effective and helps us in exploring many fields of computer Science. The exam cell is also good. Exams are neither too tough nor too easy And one can easily score good marks by studying effectively.
