Review of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University.
Placements: There are no placements for the mechanical branch in our college, and our faculty members don't care about students placements. Not even a single company visited our college from the last 10 years for placements. Some companies from the IT sector hired our batchmates with the highest salary package of 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very old. There is no water facility, and cleanliness is also not maintained here. In the hostel, space in the rooms was very appropriate, but there is no security and safety. Even cleanliness is not maintained in the hostel bathroom and other spaces.
Faculty: Teachers here were not experienced and eligible. Mostly, they were graduated from this college only and teaching here due to having a reference from the university administration. Our syllabus and exam pattern were just like B.Sc course, and they focus mostly on the theory part instead of its application. Teachers use blackboard and chalk to teach us in the classroom like teachers teach in a primary school.

Our college does not provide industrial exposure and placements.
Placements: I was from the 2013-17 batch in the Mechanical Engineering department. The intake was 60 students. Not a single student got placed at the campus, and students did not get placed from any branch. Infant, since the inception of the college, none of the companies visited the campus for placements. The summer internship was mandatory, but there was no support from the college. We all did an internship off-campus. The main companies in which we did an internship are NTPC, DLW Varanasi, BHEL, Faizabad Sugar Mills, etc. Students who got placed outside the campus got the role of software developer and coders. Students also got opportunities in Edtech based companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility was available, but most of the time, it does not work. We had mechanical labs and mechanical shops like carpentry and welding with lathe machines and other essential things. All the labs were non-functional and were used only for taking external viva. Classrooms were spacious, but it does not have modern education aids. There are green boards in the classroom, but it does not have air-conditioners. We had separate classrooms for examinations and for engineering drawing we had a separate dedicated classroom with required arrangements. We had a library on the campus. The library was good, and it had all the engineering related books. Other books were not available, and the books were of old editions. Our college provides two boys hostel and one girl's hostel. In the boy's hostel, there is no mess and canteen, and we had to go outside. So most of the students prefer private hostels just near the campus. There was no electricity power backup. The rooms were spacious, and the students get double and triple sharing rooms. The girl's hostel was away from the engineering campus and was situated inside the main university campus with Wi-Fi, mess and RO water facility. The security was good in the girl's hostel. We had a small clinic in the main university campus, which is 1.5 kilometres away from the engineering campus, and they give medicines for small diseases, and I never used it. There are no sports and games facilities on the engineering campus, and students had to go to the main university campus. There was only a small playground. Our college does not organise any sports events.
Faculty: There were no permanent faculty members in the mechanical department. All the teachers were on a contract basis. Some of them were B.Tech, and some of them were M.Tech qualified. Their teaching quality was poor, and no proper classes begin scheduled. The course curriculum is very much relevant. Our college does not provide practical knowledge and industrial exposure. The theoretical knowledge imparted was not up to the mark. But the students would study on their own. Many of them cracked GATE examination and other competitive exams. Most of the students got placed now, from off-campus recruitments.
Other: The best thing about our course was that there was enough time for us to prepare for any exams on our own because we didn't have regular classes nor did we have much of assignments and projects pressure. So self-study and self-important time were available in abundance. To improve the course, our college should provide experienced, qualified and permanent professors. The administration should work on to invite companies for placements and should organise cultural and tech fests in college. Events and fests were not organised. Only freshers day is organised, and that too it is completely handled by students. The campus crowd is average. The campus surroundings are good. Most of the students who would apply for the scholarship would get their tuition fee Rs. 58,000 plus Rs. 5,000 in return. Extracurricular activities were not conducted at the college.

It is a good engineering college.
Placements: The placement cell of our college is active. Many companies visited here for a job interview as well as paid internship interviews. Jio has provided paid internship this year. Companies for all branches visited the campus for a job and paid internship interviews. Almost 80% of the students got placements this year. Summer internships are also organised in our college, so students don't have to go outside for an internship.
Infrastructure: Our college has developed very much in the past 2 years. New labs and a new library have been made. Our new library has every book related to our syllabus as well as other books related to engineering, and the sitting facility in the library for reading is also very good. Branch related seminars are conducted here from time to time, and an expert lecture of the ongoing topic is organised.
Faculty: Faculty teachers of our college are very helpful, well-qualified and well-knowledgeable. Students can go directly to the subject-related teacher for their problems. The course curriculum is highly relevant, and time to time industrial visits are also organised for students to make them industry-ready.

I.E.T. review by batch 2015
Placements: My seniors and batch mates were not placed by the university. They gave interviews and exams and then got a job. In fact, the placement cell in my university is not working and as this is a government university, they did not want to help students to get a job or in placements. The students did everything from their own and sometimes with the help of the alumni, and the seniors play a big role in every student's life.
Infrastructure: In the name of infrastructure, there is only a building and not even a proper sports facility and cafeteria. The students have to struggle for the basic things too like xerox and others, and the college management does not want to help students on this matter. The labs are not properly run by faculty members, and the hostels are not in a good condition. Like every government infrastructure, this college's infrastructure is also in a bad condition.
Faculty: Our mechanical faculty members are not good enough to give us the complete knowledge. The whole system was corrupt and they demanded money if you failed in the sessionals and internals. The director of the college was not actually interested in the college, he was busy in his university work. The course was not completed by lecturers, so everything needs improvement here.
