To be eligible for admission to the MBA programme at Fakir Mohan University (FMU), you must meet the following criteria:

Academic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree: A Bachelor's degree in any discipline, under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern, from a recognised university.
• Minimum marks:
  • General and OBC candidates: Minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.
  • SC/ST and PWD candidates: Minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

Entrance exam:

• Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE): All applicants must qualify for the OJEE, a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Government of Odisha.
• Alternative exam scores: Candidates with a score of 75 percentile or above in CAT/MAT/GMAT/XAT are exempted from taking the OJEE and can directly proceed to the further selection process.

Selection process:

• Shortlisting: Based on the OJEE scores (or alternative exam scores), a shortlist of candidates will be prepared for the further selection process.
• Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI): Shortlisted candidates will be called for a GD and PI to assess their communication skills, personality, suitability for the program, and motivation.
• Merit list: A final merit list will be prepared based on the combined weightage of OJEE scores (or alternative exam scores), GD performance, and PI performance. Selected candidates will be offered admission based on their rank in the merit list.

The total tuition fee for a two-year full-time MBA at Fakir Mohan University is INR 57,324 - 1.13 Lakhs. It depends upon the specialization one has selected. 

Fakir Mohan University offers MBA specializations in Finance, Marketing, and Human Resources. Admission to the MBA and MCA courses is through OJEE. To be eligible for an MBA program at FMU, one must have cleared graduation from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 50% marks in relevant streams. The university offers 40 seats for MBA students.

Fakir Mohan University offers various types of scholarships and financial aid to the students. The scholarships are awarded by the National Councils and State Government as per the result of the candidates in their PG exams in Arts/ Science/ Commerce. Besides, the university also provides Research Fellowship to students. The university offers financial assistance to students in the form of fellowships for two-years. 

There are only 2 rounds in the admission process of counseling. The people who will be selected in the first counseling process they will be eligible for the final round of counseling. They will be having first come first serve method, so be fast and get your seat by your eligibility. 

Fakir Mohan University offers some of the UG and PG courses in self-financing mode. The courses include MPhil, BA LLB, MSc Applied Microbiology, MSc Chemistry, B.Ed-M.Ed, MLIS and PMIR. The self-financing courses are not subsidised by the university and aspirants need to pay the full cost of the couse. 

To be eligible for admission to the MBA programme at Fakir Mohan University, candidates must:

• Get a bachelor's degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks
• Pass the OJEE entrance exam 
• For the 2022 MBA program, the minimum cutoff for general category students was 12,895th rank. 
• Candidates who meet the cutoff must participate in the OJEE counseling and give preference to Fakir Mohan University, Balasore.

Admission to Integrated B.Ed & MEd (SFC) is done through an offline process followed by Fakir Mohan University.

The difficulty of the OJEE can vary depending on several factors. Compared to national-level entrance exams like JEE Main or NEET, OJEE is considered to be  moderately difficult.

The difficulty can also vary depending on your academic background, preparation level, and familiarity with the exam pattern. The OJEE exam assesses knowledge and understanding of subjects relevant to your chosen field, such as engineering, pharmacy, or management. A strong foundation in these subjects will be beneficial.

According to a 2022-2023 prospectus, Fakir Mohan University (FMU) may relax the cut-off percentage by up to 10% for students who meet minimum eligibility requirements. The university may also increase the intake capacity by up to 5% for some courses, subject to a minimum of one seat. 

• The minimum FMU cutoff for general category students for a BA (Hons) in Economics may be 84–94%. For ST category students, the minimum cutoff may be 60–70%. 
• For admission to the M.Com program, students must pass B.Com with 45% marks in aggregate. Admission is based on CPET and DHE. 

According to FMU, students are usually selected for admission through merit in the qualifying examination.
