The University Grants Commission (UGC) is a statutory body established in 1956 by the Government of India through an Act of Parliament for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education in India.

Private University is a university established through a State/ Central Act by a sponsoring body viz. a Society, a Public Trust or a Company. Such universities may be independent of UGC control over day-to-day activities, but cannot award degrees, affiliate institutes/colleges or set up off campus centres etc. without the UGC's approval.

| Grade 'A+' accredited by NAAC

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) is an autonomous body established by the UGC to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country. It grades an institution from A++ (best rating) to C. Rating D indicates that the institution is not accredited.

There's no comparison between the two as Sharda is better any day. Sharda University is better than Galgotias University in all aspects. Sharda University is ranked higher in both Global and India rankings in comparison to Galgotias University. Sharda University provides quality education in comparison to Galgotias, hence it is having more number of students as well. Sharda University is bigger than Galgotias University in size as well as the compound of Sharda University is very spacious. Sharda University also has International students from more than 56 countries studying in their campus, unlike Galgotias University that has less amount of International students. The placement in Sharda University is also good in compared to Galgotias University.
