Q&A Icon
Commonly asked questions
Q:   What is a bad rank in CLAT?
A:

A bad rank in CLAT is relative and depends on factors like your category, the NLUs you target, and overall competition. For general category candidates, ranks above 15,000 to 20,000 are typically considered weak, reducing chances of admission into top or even mid-tier National Law Universities. For reserved categories, the threshold might be higher, but still, a rank significantly above the cutoff range may be viewed unfavorably. Ultimately, a "bad rank" hampers your chances of securing a coveted seat and may force you to consider alternative law schools or reattempt the exam in subsequent years. Improving your score remains essential.

Q:   What is the last date to fill CLAT Application Form 2027?
A:

The Consortium has announced the last date to submit the CLAT Application Form as October 31, 2026.

Q:   I forgot to submit CLAT Application Fees. What should I do?
A:

Even with all the right documents, if you have not paid the application fee, your application form will be rejected. Since the application process cannot complete without submiting the fees. Once the window closes you won't be able to pay the fees or re fill the form.

Q:   What documents are needed during CLAT application?

No, GLA University, Mathura BA LLB (hons) admission is not based on CLAT-UG scores.

Candidates can only apply for this course by appearing in GLAET and following interview round.

There is no rule that allows candidates with valid CLAT-UG scores to skip GLAET and appear for PI round directly.

Yes, CLAT is not compulsory. You can respectfully gain admission by clearing the university's own NMIMS-LAT entrance exam instead. Applications can be submitted directly through the official NMIMS website.

Chanakya University considers the score of CLAT for admission into BA LLB programme. However, admission is offered by considering the valid score of other entrance exams such as: CLAT/LSAT or CUPP (Chanakya University Pravesh Pariksha).
