CLAT Registration Fee 2027 is the most important component of the CLAT application process. The application fee is critical because without paying the application fee, the registration will not be completed and the registration number will not be allotted. The consortium of NLUs has prescribed different fee for different categories.

The Consortium of NLUs activated the CLAT 2027 registrations on August 3, 2026. The candidates are required to pay the CLAT form fee as prescribed for the candidate's category. Candidates should note that without paying the CLAT exam fee, the CLAT registrations will not be completed. See the details about the CLAT form fee 2027 on this page.

 

 

CLAT 2027 Form Fees: Category-wise CLAT fees structure

CLAT Form Fee 2027: The Consortium prescribe the CLAT exam fee under the instructions section on its official portal - consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2027. The Consortium activated the CLAT 2027 registrations on August 3, 2026. Candidates can fill the CLAT registration form on its official portal. The last date to apply online for the CLAT 2027 is October 31

The Consortium will soon release the CLAT application correction dates for the candidates. The candidates will be required to pay the CLAT form fee as per their category; without paying the CLAT exam fee, the CLAT registrations will not be deemed completed. As per the official communication, the CLAT 2027 exam date is December 6, 2026.

It is very important to pay the appropriate CLAT form fee as per the category of the candidate because, in case the fee is different from the prescribed one, the form can get rejected. The Consortium will conduct the CLAT 2027 offline in pen-and-paper mode.

CLAT Form Fee 2027 

The fees are a major part of the Common Law Admission Test application process. CLAT fees are used to cover the expenses of conducting the exam. The fees are different for each category.

CLAT 2027: Fee Structure for UG/PG Courses

The registration fees for CLAT UG and PG courses are the same. But it differs for categories such as General, OBC, SC, ST, and PwD.

CLAT 2027 General Category Fees

For candidates belonging to the General category, the registration fee is relatively higher compared to the reserved categories. 

CLAT 2027 OBC Category Fees

Candidates from the OBC category will have to pay the same fee as general category. 

CLAT 2027 SC/ST Category Fees

For candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), the registration fee is prescribed separately. It is less than other categories.

CLAT 2027 PwD Category Fees

The Consortium ensures that Persons with Disabilities (PwD) also benefit from the reduced registration fees.

Q:   Can I prepare for CLAT Exam in one week?
A: 

Though CLAT Preparation takes months of practice, it is still not impossible. You can prepare for the CLAT Exam in one week with a correct and dedicated focus. But you should have at least some understanding of concepts to clear the exam. 

Q:   Can I fill CLAT Application Form offline?
A: 

No, there is no such provision given by the Consortium to fill out the application form offline. Candidates must complete filling the CLAT Application Form 2027 on or before the last date. You can only fill out the application form online. The form will be considered submitted only if you pay the fees.

CLAT Exam Fee 2027: Category-wise

Candidates must note that the registration fees vary category-wise. In case a student wants to have previous years' question papers, then they have to pay INR 500 along with the application fee, regardless of which category they belong to. Candidates can check the category-wise CLAT 2027 registration fee below:

CLAT 2027 Registration Fee: Mode of Payment

CLAT 2027 registration fees can be paid through various online modes only. Candidates cannot pay the counselling fee offline. Students can pay the fee online using different modes like credit/debit cards, net banking, and UPI. This flexibility allows candidates to choose a payment method that is most convenient for them.

Once the candidate successfully pays the CLAT Registration Fees, they will receive a confirmation email.

It must be noted that the CLAT Application fee is non-refundable.

Some NLUs and external organisations offer financial assistance or scholarships to cover registration fees for economically disadvantaged candidates.

CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2027 (UG)

Candidates must meet CLAT eligibility criteria for undergraduate (UG) level law courses as mentioned below. The Consortium will cancel application at any stage if all required CLAT UG 2027 Eligibility Criteria are not met.

  • Candidates should clear Class 12 with a minimum 45 per cent aggregate (applicable for candidates belonging to General/ Other Backward Class/ Person with Disability/ Non-Resident Indian/ Person of Indian Origin/ Overseas Citizen of India

  • Candidates should clear Class 12 with a minimum 40 per cent aggregate (applicable for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category)

  • Candidates appearing for their Class 12 board examinations in March/April are also eligible to apply for the CLAT 2027 exam.

How to apply for CLAT Exam 2027?

Candidates can follow the simple steps given below to register for CLAT 2027 Exam

  1. Go to the official website; i.e.consortiumofnlus.ac.in

  2.  Register as a new user

  • Click on “Register”

  • Enter your Name, Mobile Number, and Email ID

  • Create a secure password

  • Verify using OTP sent to your mobile/email

    3. Fill the Application Form 

  • Choose your course (UG/PG)

  • Enter your personal details: Name, DOB, gender, etc.

  • Enter your academic details: Marks, board/university, year of passing

  • Select reservation category (if applicable)

  • Choose preferred test cities (up to three)

   4. Upload Required Documents

  • Upload scanned photograph, signature, and category certificates

   5. Pay the Application Fee

   6. Review all details carefully

   7. Submit the application

   8. Download and save a copy of your filled form and fee receipt for reference

No, candidates who fulfill OP Jindal Global University BBA LLB (hons) eligibility criteria cannot apply with a CLAT-UG score. This institute only accepts admission based on LNAT-UK exam. No other entrance exams are accepted during admissions to this course.
