Not great academically, average placements, but suitable for a low-cost B.Tech degree.
Placements: Placements are average, around 4–5 LPA, not very high. The highest package reported in recent years (especially for CSE) is around 12 LPA from a marketing company in Bangalore. 70–80% of students get placed on campus, with many finding jobs off-campus.
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is nice, but the food is worse. Approximate hostel fees vary from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 62,000 per year, which includes a mess charge of around Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 3,000 as security money. Bus fees are around Rs. 7,000. GKV offers B.Tech in four streams CSE, ESE, EE, and ME.
Faculty: Faculty quality is generally average, but a few professors are highly supportive and helpful. Sadly, they follow the old curriculum. Basic concepts are covered adequately for passing exams and completing the degree. Teaching quality is not consistent across all departments.
Other: This college can be a good choice if your primary goal is to earn a degree at an affordable cost. It is a boys’ college. So there is no interaction with female students in the B. Tech courses.

Review of GKV - Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya.
Placements: Most of the students in this college start preparation for GATE. But those who prepare for placement get placed in companies like Panasonic, Colors Code, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and Google. The highest package offered is about 15 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 6 LPA. The average package offered is about 12 LPA. Most of the students get internships as a campus ambassador of Microsoft, in which they become a beta ambassador. Top roles offered by companies are software developer and cybersecurity intern.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are good, and they provide all the basic requirements. A very bad quality of food is served to students, and it is not hygienic. It provides medical facilities and sports facilities. The college has its own stadium named Dayanand Stadium. Classrooms have all the facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They help with every problem related to academics, and financial help is also provided by our college. The course curriculum is very good, and they teach us a practical approach with real-world applications based on problems by organising hackathons and competitive programming competitions. Semester exams are not so difficult, as students can score good marks by studying during the gap days only if they are regular students. Notes of the lecturer are very useful to pass exams. The pass percentage is 90 percent. Most of the students score a good CGPA. The course curriculum is best for preparing for any other competitive exams.
Other: I chose this course because this college is the GFTI's college in Haridwar, where all types of freedom with course and curriculum are offered. Also, whatever branch we want, they can give us based on our JEE score. Sometimes, they take the 12th percentage also as a criterion to enroll students in the course. Improvement needs to be done in the infrastructure and funding process, as it is not so normalised because the college uses all funding to fulfill the professors' and dean's desires, which is a very unusual and responsible thing to happen in this college. Events and fests are organised by the students only.

Review of Gurukul Kangri University.
Placements: About 80 percent of students get placed in the course with an average placement of 6 LPA. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 6 LPA. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Google, Code Labs, IBM, Colors Code, etc. Roles like software intern, project manager are offered by the companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available here are extraordinary and well-furnished. All facilities related to the curriculum are there, but they should focus on the lab area because they don't change equipment every year. Hostel facilities are well and good. All required items are there, but the food quality is not so good and is not acceptable.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable, but they just teach the syllabus, and they don't support any kind of project in their own until we go to them. The course curriculum is very good and relevant as they teach the syllabus wisely and help us in scoring good marks for semester exams. Semester exams are not so difficult. We just have to read the syllabus thoroughly, and then we can easily pass the exam with a good CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because I want a GFTI college where I can have enough time to prepare for other exams too, and enough time for coding. This is the best college I think of, as there is a lot of free time available that I can use. Improvement should be done in the labs of practice where cheap instruments are used. Fests are done here, but they ask students to give money for the events.

Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya - College review.
Placements: About 70% of the students get placed in the course because of the extraordinary preparation by the placement cell department of our college. They are like a building block for our college. The highest package is 12 LPA. The lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 8 LPA, which is quite good. Top recruiters are Colours Code, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Microsoft, Google, etc. Most of the students get placed in the course because of the good preparation for the interview. Top roles like software developer and a cyber army-like job they given to the students.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are well furnished, and the availability of all the essential items is there in the college, but the lab equipment is old, and they don't buy new gadgets every year, which is one of the drawbacks of the college. Hostel facilities are good enough, but the mess facilities are not so good, as they give unhygienic food, because of which we left the hostel after the end of our first year. A canteen is available on the campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, educated and supportive of the students. They help us after the class also. We have the number of teachers to call and clear all our doubts. Course curriculum helps us in cracking the top companies' interviews. Semester exams are not so difficult as we just have to read the syllabus and PYQ questions to score good marks. The passing percentage is 80%. In fact, I can say it is 95% because a very small no. of students fail.
Other: I chose this course because this college is the GFTI's college, and also because of my low percentile, I have to land here. Best thing about the course is that we have get enough time to do preparation for any competitive exams and others. Improvement is needed in the funding policy as the college does not spend any money on students, so they should at least spend on the welfare of the students and the college. The festival held here in December is named Janagani every year.

Review of Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya.
Placements: Share placements are good, also placement faculty members are there, and placement cell is also there, but most students prefer to give the GATE exam and go to the top IITS. Companies like Infosys, L&T, Google, Panasonic, Colors Code, etc. Recruits students for internships in junior software development.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are good, also Wi-Fi and labs are too good, but food quality is very poor, nowadays they are taking the initiative to make better food. Overall, for the first time, I suggest you take a hostel in your first year. Make beautiful memories with your friends. Sports and games facilities are also there as we play GPL every year with our team, and cash prizes are there for the winning team.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. Our dean, Mayank Aggarwal Sir, is the HOD of the Computer Science branch, who handles all the major decisions and always tries to make our college one of the best colleges in Haridwar for B.Tech. The course curriculum is very relevant. As the dean helps us to make a real-world project with the college funds. Semester exams are not so difficult. It's just like a cup of cake, but you have to go through the notes and PYQs.
Other: I chose this course because I want to do B.Tech from the government. Institute, and this is the GFTI's college in Uttarakhand. I will improve my batchmates' mindset about this college. I will suggest that they teach for the placement and companies instead of getting into IITs, so that the credibility of our college increases.

GKV - Haridwar College Review.
Placements: 100 percent placement takes place in the electrical department. Students are hardworking and self-disciplined, which helps them to crack the highest packages. Top recruiters are like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, etc. Students from 3rd year or 4th year easily get an internship from Infosys, TCS, Colors Code, etc. About 10 out of 15 easily get internship opportunities. Top roles like software development are offered based on skill.
Infrastructure: Department infrastructure is overwhelming, but it could be even better if they renovated it every year, at least by colors. All facilities are there like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library. Hostel facilities are not so good, but we can live there as they fulfill basic facilities, though the mess is the worst; food quality is very bad. Medical facilities are there. Sports and games are also played once during the sports fest.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well qualified, and knowledgeable too. They support us in challenging all the real-world problems on our own. Course curriculum is very relevant. It makes students industry ready. Semester exams are not so difficult, as they help us in excelling in the exam by their assignment questions and also PYQ questions. Passing percentage is 80 percent.
Other: I chose this course as I got very less percentile, i.e., 80 percent in JEE Main, because of which I got admission in this college. Best thing is the practical and real-life application based problems. Improvement should be there in the fund raising, as college uses all funds for the welfare of professors only. They don't invest their money in the college. Events named JANAGANI happen once in a year, full of joy and happiness. Connectivity is good with IIT Roorkee, but students from GKV don't allow visiting IIT Roorkee.
