Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya - College Review
Placements: As this college is one of the popular GFTIs, most of the students get enough time to prepare for other exams too. Instead of this, about 80% of students sit for the placement round, and 60% succeed. The lowest package is 8 LPA, the highest package is 15 LPA, and the average package is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Google, Colors Code, IBM, etc. Roles offered include software intern and cybersecurity intern. About 50% in CSE and 100% in Electrical get internships and PPO from the company.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and buildings are too old because they are not being taken care of. The college is also spread over a very small area. However, classrooms have all the facilities, and the hostel is good to live in. Labs, library, and Wi-Fi are available in the college and hostel campus. The mess quality is good and hygienic, but sometimes they serve very bad food, mostly at night. Sports and games facilities are available because the college owns its own stadium called Dayanand Stadium.
Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and cooperative. The college helps us in achieving our goals and provides funds for the startup of students, helping them grow under their guidance. The course curriculum is very relevant; it makes students industry-ready. However, students want to go to IIT for better packages and an IIT tag, so most students aim to crack the GATE exam. Exams are not so difficult because we can clear them easily just by reading the professors' notes and previous years' question papers. The passing percentage is about 80%.
Other: I chose this course because of the extra time advantage that I get in this college. This is because we don't have to care about attendance; we just have to show our face to our professors once in a while, and after that, we are allowed to take the exams. The library and the stadium are good here. I want to improve the buildings. A fest is held here called JANAGANI with joy, and other extracurricular activities also happen once a year, like the fresher's party.

Review of GKV - Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya.
Placements: About 60% of students get selected or placed in the CSE course because most of the students prepare for the GATE exam. The highest packages offered by companies are 15 LPA. The lowest is 8 LPA, and the average is 12 LPA per annum. Top recruiters include Microsoft, Google, Colors Code, IBM, Infosys, and TCS. About 50 to 60 students out of 250 get selected for this course. Roles like software developer and intern are offered.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are above average. It is good to live in. All necessary equipment is available, including tables, beds, chairs, personal almirahs, etc. Classrooms have all the facilities like Wi-Fi and smart boards. Hostel facilities are good, and the food quality is okay. However, they don't serve good food in the end. In the beginning, the food quality is good, but after a few months, it becomes the worst. The mess and canteen are also on the college campus, and medical facilities are provided. There is a sports room where all the needed equipment is available.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable, as they assist us in every circumstance. They help us after class as well. The course is very relevant because if we start any kind of startup, they provide funds for our startup. Semester exams are totally related to the notes and previous year's questions. It's very easy to crack the exam as our professors give us a lot of assignments, which helps us prepare well.
Other: I chose this course because of the low percentile I got in JEE Main. Also, it is a GFTI college in Haridwar; that's the second reason for my choice. The best thing about this course is that I get enough time to prepare for other exams too. I wish to improve the building of my college. The fest is held in the month of December by seniors with the students.

Overall, infrastructure, placement, and campus life are average.
Placements: The placement rate at Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya is pretty good, like 80-90% students got placed, but mostly students prefer off-campus placements due to very low payment. The average package is around 4-5 LPA. The highest package offered is 12 LPA. Companies like Amazon, Infosys, HCL, Microsoft, etc., come here but do not provide much money.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average, Wi-Fi and labs are available, but sometimes Wi-Fi does not work properly, classrooms have good capacity and have all the resources required for studies. The food at the hostel is good, there is a badminton and volleyball court available in the hostel, but the gym has not been available since last year due to some issues.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and are of a friendly nature. They pay attention to students whether they are learning or not. The difficulty level of semester exams is moderate. You are considered passed if you score more than 40 marks in the subject, but your overall percentage should be greater than 50%.
Other: I chose B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering because it provides vast opportunities in future. I think awareness about what companies prefer to take must improve their average package. Events and Fest here are all organised by students. The campus area should be disappointing, but people here are all good. There are many extracurricular activities performed on campus. Besides, it promotes sports, there is also a cricket tournament named GPL ( Gurukul Primary League) that is held every year.

Review of GKV - Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya.
Placements: Most of the students in this college start preparation for GATE. But those who prepare for placement get placed in companies like Panasonic, Colors Code, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and Google. The highest package offered is about 15 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 6 LPA. The average package offered is about 12 LPA. Most of the students get internships as a campus ambassador of Microsoft, in which they become a beta ambassador. Top roles offered by companies are software developer and cybersecurity intern.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are good, and they provide all the basic requirements. A very bad quality of food is served to students, and it is not hygienic. It provides medical facilities and sports facilities. The college has its own stadium named Dayanand Stadium. Classrooms have all the facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They help with every problem related to academics, and financial help is also provided by our college. The course curriculum is very good, and they teach us a practical approach with real-world applications based on problems by organising hackathons and competitive programming competitions. Semester exams are not so difficult, as students can score good marks by studying during the gap days only if they are regular students. Notes of the lecturer are very useful to pass exams. The pass percentage is 90 percent. Most of the students score a good CGPA. The course curriculum is best for preparing for any other competitive exams.
Other: I chose this course because this college is the GFTI's college in Haridwar, where all types of freedom with course and curriculum are offered. Also, whatever branch we want, they can give us based on our JEE score. Sometimes, they take the 12th percentage also as a criterion to enroll students in the course. Improvement needs to be done in the infrastructure and funding process, as it is not so normalised because the college uses all funding to fulfill the professors' and dean's desires, which is a very unusual and responsible thing to happen in this college. Events and fests are organised by the students only.

Review of Gurukul Kangri University.
Placements: About 80 percent of students get placed in the course with an average placement of 6 LPA. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 6 LPA. Top recruiters are Microsoft, Google, Code Labs, IBM, Colors Code, etc. Roles like software intern, project manager are offered by the companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available here are extraordinary and well-furnished. All facilities related to the curriculum are there, but they should focus on the lab area because they don't change equipment every year. Hostel facilities are well and good. All required items are there, but the food quality is not so good and is not acceptable.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable, but they just teach the syllabus, and they don't support any kind of project in their own until we go to them. The course curriculum is very good and relevant as they teach the syllabus wisely and help us in scoring good marks for semester exams. Semester exams are not so difficult. We just have to read the syllabus thoroughly, and then we can easily pass the exam with a good CGPA.
Other: I chose this course because I want a GFTI college where I can have enough time to prepare for other exams too, and enough time for coding. This is the best college I think of, as there is a lot of free time available that I can use. Improvement should be done in the labs of practice where cheap instruments are used. Fests are done here, but they ask students to give money for the events.

Not great academically, average placements, but suitable for a low-cost B.Tech degree.
Placements: Placements are average, around 4–5 LPA, not very high. The highest package reported in recent years (especially for CSE) is around 12 LPA from a marketing company in Bangalore. 70–80% of students get placed on campus, with many finding jobs off-campus.
Infrastructure: Hostel infrastructure is nice, but the food is worse. Approximate hostel fees vary from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 62,000 per year, which includes a mess charge of around Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 3,000 as security money. Bus fees are around Rs. 7,000. GKV offers B.Tech in four streams CSE, ESE, EE, and ME.
Faculty: Faculty quality is generally average, but a few professors are highly supportive and helpful. Sadly, they follow the old curriculum. Basic concepts are covered adequately for passing exams and completing the degree. Teaching quality is not consistent across all departments.
Other: This college can be a good choice if your primary goal is to earn a degree at an affordable cost. It is a boys’ college. So there is no interaction with female students in the B. Tech courses.
