GLA University offers BA (Hons) course for a duration of three years. This course is offered across two specialisations namely, Economics and English. Admission to the BA course at GLA University is entirely entrance-based. Aspiring students have to appear for the university-level entrance exam and qualify for the exam with a valid score. The university conducts GLAET for admission to its various UG courses. Students are selected based on their scores in the respective entrance exam. Additionally, for admission to BA (English), students also have to appear for a Personal Interview (PI) round. There is no requirement to qualify for the PI round for BA (Economics) course.

One of the best teachers for B.A. English along with great opportunities for humanities students.
Placements: In our senior batch, which passed out in 2025, almost 60% of them got placed. About 70% of the total batch sat for placement interviews, out of which 60% got placed. I believe is a great number, especially in a course like B.A. English Hons.
Infrastructure: We have a separate block for applied sciences and humanities courses. The classrooms are quite good with ACs and projectors. Library too is also quite good with almost all the books of our courses present there. However, a little attention and maintenance can always help improve and a separate departmental library for English hons or humanities students will be much more convenient.
Faculty: Faculty members for the department of English are the best on campus. The professors are not just highly qualified but also really very supportive in nature. They will go an extra mile to not just teach you but to make you understand things really very well.
