It's a great place to be in GLA as it fulfills all the basic and rare facilities also.
Placements: I had been studying in GLA since the last year. It's a great place to pursue your further studies. In the placement session, almost 80% to 90% of the students had been placed. The salary lies between 8000 to 20,000 p.a for the diplomates and some companies also sometimes provides a higher pay scale. Some of the top recruiters generally includes hospitals such as AIMS and Nayati hospital but some of the companies visiting us for the recruitment includes P Tech Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd, Mankind, etc. Generally, the role offered is mostly the pharmacist in our Diploma course. Almost 90% of the students get the opportunity to have an internship mainly in hospitals.
Infrastructure: The facilities in our university are the best as it has 24*7 equipped wi-fi and electricity. The best part of our university is that it has immense greenery. The classes are large and spacious. We have a big library at our department with proper discipline. We also have working labs which are held regularly according to the schedule of our respective courses amongst the whole pharmacy department. The university has great hostels with proper discipline and cleanliness. They also have the best quality of food which tastes just like home. The university has a large central canteen and some departments have their own separate canteens. The medical facility available which works without break is available and not only provides medicines but also sometimes help in curing mild infections. Yes, we also have regular events in our university which are very interesting but the number is less in the case of our pharmacy department.
Faculty: Yes the teachers are very helpful and are always there to help out the students with the queries and teachers not only teaches us the curriculum but also sometimes increases our knowledge in the general sense of life by relating their subjects in our daily life. They teach us nicely as they have immense knowledge of their subjects. Yes the course curriculum is well updated and well suited in all aspects as it also makes us ready for the industrial work as we are made to attend the guest lectures each Saturday for the better placement and we are also taught about the working in the industries on each Saturday mainly.
Other: I had just chosen this course to increase my knowledge about medicines, learn about various biological pathways of our body and also to learn about various medicinal plants. I wish if the number of events held in our department can be increased so that the students can have some recreational knowledge. As I said that the number of events held in our department are not enough but we participate in the events held in the whole university. Talking about the connectivity which is well established at least through the state according to me. The university has a greenery all over its surroundings so it is better to be at GLA. Scholarships are also provided to the students who score 85% and above.
