The CLAT Eligibility for UG (undergraduate) course is divided into two parts as follows:

Candidates must have secured 45% marks in aggregate or its equivalent in their 10+2 or an equivalent examination.

Candidates belonging to the reserved categories must have secured 40% aggregate or its equivalent.

There are a total of 120 seats in BA LLB (Hons) course of Himachal Pradesh National Law University. Out of the total intake, 15% seats are reserved for SC and 7.5% for ST category candidates. For aspirants belonging to Himachal Pradesh, 25% seats are reserved. Candidates are offered seat in BA LLB (Hons) programme based on CLAT score.

No, admission to law courses at NLUs is through CLAT only. The course aspirants must appear for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) and secure a good score. It is a pen and paper based test.
