NLU Ranchi Cutoff 2026 (Out): Check CLAT Round Wise Ranks

NUSRL Ranchi offers a wide range of law courses. It accepts the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) score to select candidates. The consortium of NLUs releases the cutoffs for admissions to various law courses in different NLUs. According to the NLU Ranchi CLAT cutoff 2024 for the Fifth Round of Allotment, the Last Round ranks for the General AI category for BA LLB(Hons) and LLM in Intellectual Property Rights were in 1594 and 1623, respectively. CLAT cutoff 2024 is released for various categories including General, OBC, SC and ST amongst others. As per the CLAT 2024 the All India closing ranks for the General category stood at 1432. For OBC category, the closing ranks stood at 2733.

Going as per the aforementioned cutoffs, candidate with an AIR 2428 and OBC 278 is eligible for the OBC catgeory and not the General category. Since as of now, only Round 3 Seat Allotment has been released, candidates with the mentioned AIR can wait until remaining rounds for the further cutoffs.    

For NLU Ranchi BA LLB (Hons), the last round closing rank is 1667 for the General category under All India Quota. For the LL.M. in Intellectual Property Rights course, the closing rank is 1597 for the General category All India candidates.

Candidates need to pass LLB or a five-year integrated BA LLB/ any other equivalent exam with a minimum of 55% aggregate to apply for NLU Ranchi LLM course. Besides, candidates must also pass CLAT for admission in LLM programme. One must also hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

The NUSRL Ranchi CLAT cutoff 2026 was announced for admission to the BA LLB, BBA LLB and LLM courses for Round 1 for both the All India and Home State quota. 

According to the Round 1 closing ranks, the cutoff for all the LLM course specialisation was 1119 for the General AI category candidates. On the other hand, for the General HS quota, the cutoff for the same course was 3215, according to the Round 1 closing ranks for all the specialisations. No, you cannot take admission to the BA LLB (Hons) course of NUSRL Ranchi without a Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) score. Admission to law programmes at the National Law Universities is based on this exam score only. The exam is conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). Thus, the course aspirants must take the entrance test to secure a seat in the integrated programme.

Candidates need to pass Class 12 with at least 45% to apply for National University of Study and Research in Law Ranchi.
