Review of Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Padur, Chennai, 603103.

Placements: I feel this college is one of the best colleges in terms of aeronautical engineering. If you're looking for CSE, then I wouldn't suggest this college. Placement-wise, this college is above average. Companies like Boeing and Air India come for placements. They recruit a good number of people with basic packages (5 LPA–12 LPA). Every student should do a summer internship for at least 15 days at a renowned company. This helps you acquire hands-on experience and gain knowledge.

Infrastructure: Classes and labs are very well facilitated. Labs are the most important part of our department (Aeronautical), which are very well-equipped and maintained. We have a Lycoming engine, engine components, Piper Seneca aircraft, Cessna 172 aircraft, a helicopter, and a simulator to practise flying by Orient Flying Academy. Coming to the hostel, there are three hostels, and one of them is very classy and good. The food here is above average for a student from Andhra Pradesh. Medical facilities are always available. Everything is perfect.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and encouraging. Anna University curriculum is being followed. This includes all the topics that are very useful in our future workplace or daily life. The pass percentage is about 80%. For an average student, he/she can read and pass all the subjects with the help of teachers.

Other: The college conducts many fests like Freshers' Day, Yarona, Yolo, Razzle Dazzle, festive events, Friday gigs (flash mobs), University Day, etc. Recently, an F1 racing car came to our college. Everything is perfect for a good college life, but don't expect it to be like a movie.

Placements: 40 percent of students got placed from my course. The highest package is 10 LPA, the lowest is 1 LPA, and the average package is 4 LPA. Infosys is a recruiting company for my course. 10 percent of students got internships from my course. Top roles offered in my course are developer, IT, and data analyst.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is poor. There is no network. Lab facilities are poor. The classrooms and library facilities are available. Infrastructure is available for my course/department. Food quality is too bad. The quality of the facilities in my hostel, the quality of food available in the mess and canteen, medical facilities, and sports and games are average.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is average. The staff is less. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams in this college are easy. The pass percentage is 60 percent overall.

Other: I want to become a software engineer that's why I chose this course. The best things about your course are college friends and some staff. The things you wish would be better or improved about my course are qualified and well-teaching staff. Events, fests, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarship, and extracurricular activities are too good, but most of the crowd is Tamil.

Placements: The percentage of students placed in my course is around 50%. The highest package offered is 10 LPA, the lowest package is 1 LPA, and the average package is 3 LPA. The top recruiting company for my course is SpiceJet. Around 10% of students get internships from my course. The top roles offered in my course are Structural Engineer and Maintenance Engineer.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for my course include labs, classrooms, and a library. The quality of the hostel facilities is the worst. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is not good. Medical facilities, sports, and games are also not very good.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is mixed. Some teachers are good, while some are not. The course curriculum is followed accurately. The semester exams in the college are easy. The passing percentage at Hindustan College is 70%.

Placements: Actually, I am a BCA graduate who got placed at Swiggy with a 4 LPA package, with good placement opportunities. Top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Infosys, Cognizant, etc. Aeronautical Engineering is famous in this college.

Infrastructure: Classrooms, library, sports room, canteen, cafeteria, and hostels for both genders are available at affordable prices along with good food facilities. Football, basketball, and cricket grounds are available. Admission stages for events, book collection offices, and other facilities are available. Sports are equally encouraged. The Fashion Department is also available.

Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. Semester exams are easy for those who attend college and study from notes. The teaching is done through smart boards with effective videos for better understanding, along with labs for practical work. It is an extraordinary college.

We have good placements and campus life. Campus is surrounded by around 1000 trees.

Placements: Our college has a strong placement record with an overall placement rate. During the recent placement season, the highest package was 47 LPA. Top recruiters included Bending (Being), TCS, Cognizant, and Wipro. Through multiple company collaborations, students get many opportunities.

Infrastructure: Our college provides good classrooms and well-equipped laboratories. There are many campus facilities, a central library, and labs for every department and branch. Sports facilities, auditoriums, medical support, transport services, and separate hostels for girls and boys.

Faculty: Our college has many labs with equipment related to the experiments. Similarly, faculty members who provide the subjects are also experienced and provide us with practical knowledge. But very rarely, faculty provided for some subjects does not provide us with the knowledge we want.

Placements: Placements in this college are very limited, as you are pursuing Aerospace Engineering. You must be ready to mainly gain knowledge in the aerospace industry rather than aiming for a good placement. According to our seniors, the highest package was around 13 LPA.

Infrastructure: The college is an old institute where you will find a good nature, as trees are along the roads. Overall, the infrastructure is decent. Most classrooms not having AC. Remember, you are studying in Chennai. To be frank, the college is too big not too small, but it has a decent campus area.

Faculty: The curriculum is very good according to the branch. But remember, how much you study is equal to the amount of knowledge you gain. Faculty will definitely help you out. Make sure you can communicate in the Tamil language. No worries about exams, as important questions are shared before exams, through which you can pass.
