 The seat intake for the PhD programme at Hidayatullah National Law University is 30. 

For taking admission in PhD course at HNLU Raipur - Hidayatullah National Law University, candidates must have a master's or professional degree from the relevant statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% of the possible points in the aggregate or an equivalent grade of "B" on the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed), in order to be admitted to the PhD programme at HNLU Raipur, Hidayatullah National Law University. Mess Fee shall be payable separately by the students on semester basis and it will be decided on the basis of contract rates.

The top course in HNLU Raipur is B.A.LL.B (Hons) most of the students take this to pursue their career in law and also the placements in the previous year in this course offers a good CTC,  Huge placements are provided in our college. Around 78 students get placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA and the lowest salary package is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are AZB and Partners, ICICI Bank, Wadia Handy, S&R Associate, Induslaw, Khaitan, etc.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are experienced and dedicated to providing quality education to students. Some of them encourage students to engage in legal research, moot court competitions, seminars, and workshops. The course curriculum is relevant, but students are not ready to face it because of the poor teaching of some faculty members. Semester exams are comprehensive so students have to study well.Even the faculty members those who teach this subject are well knowlegeded

Hidayatullah National Law University accepts the CLAT entrance exam for admission to its B.A. LLB(Hons) course at the undergraduate level. HNLU Raipur organises various extracurricular activities for students. In the past, the university has arranged the below-mentioned competitions:

• Colossus is the flagship sports fest of HNLU which is organized in march every year. The fest was first organized in 2013 and comprises 15 sports events and an equal number of cultural events. The sports events include football, cricket, tennis, table tennis, basketball, throw-ball, volleyball, and chess. 
• Intra-university sporting events: The university has an endowment cricket tournament, the Sudeep Memorial Cricket Tournament, named after an alumnus. There is an annual football tournament held in the university known as the Hidayatullah Premier League (HPL).
• Literary and debating: The university has an active debating circuit which is supported by the Literary & Debating Committee. The university teams selected on the basis of challengers or benchmarks participate in Parliamentary debates across the country including the National Law School Debate, the Mukarji Memorial Debate at St. Stephen's College, Delhi, the NALSAR IV and the NUJS Parliamentary Debate at WBNUJS, Kolkata. Year round activities held on the campus include:

• • The Aruna Hyde Memorial Debate: A parliamentary debate held by the L&D Committee and named after the late Aruna Hyde, Faculty of English.
  • Literary & Debating Week: Activities include debates, one act plays, Scrabble competitions, quiz contests, and the Hindi Debate.
  • The Republic Day Debate: It is an annual tradition to hold a debate on a relevant social issue on Republic Day.
  • The India Quiz & Debating Premier League: DPL started in 2014, as a debating equivalent of the IPL, where investors buy teams which are pitted against each other.
  • Freshers Debate: The inaugural edition was held in 2013, meant for the first-year students of the University.

HNLU BA LLB (Hons) cut-off is the maximum (closing) CLAT rank at which the admission will be provided. In 2024, the closing rank in CLAT at which the candidates belonging to the "General-All India" category were admitted to the programme was 791. The closing rank for BA LLB (Hons) admission at HNLU in 2023 was 805 for the "General-All India" category candidates. This indicates that getting admission to BA LLB (Hons) at HNLU has become more competitive in 2024.
