M.Sc. in Home Science (Foods & Nutrition) - Batch of 2020
3.0
Dissatisfied with the curriculum.
Placements: The top roles offered were dietician, nutritionist, food analyst, textile designer, and research assistant. The placement rate was generally between 60-70%. The recruiters were hospitals and healthcare institutions, educational institutions. The average package was around 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostel accommodation was good, with comfortable and big twin-sharing rooms, along with average taste food but well-maintained hygiene. There were limited medical facilities and a gym. Facilities and infrastructure in the department were great, and there was a library and Wi-Fi access in classrooms and throughout the college.
Faculty: Faculty members were very supportive and highly qualified, with many years of experience. The teaching quality was a blend of theory classes and some practical training. The curriculum was good, but it was not yet industry-ready. Updates were required to make students job-ready.

Good infrastructural facilities are there.
Placements: Placements in my course were very low. In fact, consider them negligible. Choose this college for its quality education, not placements. The same can be said about internships. The highest package offered in my course was INR 4 LPA, and the average package was INR 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college campus is located in an ideal location, being close to all modes of transportation, which is good for female students. It has good greenery, which makes it an adorable place. Classrooms, labs, libraries, and playgrounds are all very nicely maintained.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good. Teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and have a sound educational background. They are able to provide students with the best knowledge of the subject. However, one needs to pursue more skills to establish a sound career.

Witness the best college life here.
Placements: In general, placements at our college are really good. But it's not evenly distributed over all the courses. 30–40% of students were placed in my course. Top organizations visit my college every year and recruit a lot of students. Frequent recruiters are Accenture, Infosys, TCS, etc.
Infrastructure: The college boasts state-of-the art infrastructure. Not only are all the basic facilities like good classrooms, labs, and libraries present, but also facilities of the day like high-speed internet connectivity, sporting activities, and extracurricular activities that lead to personality development are also organized, and infrastructure for the same is provided.
Faculty: The teaching staff is proficient in the subject. The other staff from management is also very cordial and supportive. Teaching quality is as per the set standards. The course curriculum is relevant as per UGC norms. College exams are easy. 40% is the passing criterion.

Average placements & curriculum.
Placements: Placement possibilities are not very high in this course. 30% was the placement ratio during my time there. Roles offered were research assistant, healthcare professional, child caretaker, nutritionist, and dietician in companies like Accenture, Cipla, Amul, CMC, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for my course was average. Basic classrooms, a decent library, and labs were present. The food quality in the canteen was good. There were three canteens on campus. The campus also offered hostel facilities for out-of-town students. The hostel's capacity was 200 students.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and friendly. They used to teach in a good manner. Most of the lectures were based on textbooks. A few of the concepts were explained with the help of presentations. The course curriculum was based on the standard curriculum. It did not do much to make students industry-ready.

Experience the best campus life here.
Placements: There are several placement opportunities for students from diverse streams. The placements in my course were 30%. The average package offered in my course was INR 3 lacs per annum. Placements were done in the education field, the healthcare field, etc. Many went for higher studies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty awesome. Newly built buildings, classes, laboratories, sports complexes, athletic grounds, and tennis courts are there. The college has excellent hostel facilities, rooms, and wi-fi facilities. The accommodations are comfortable and foster a good environment for studying.
Faculty: All the teaching staff members and management members were nice and cooperative. In terms of studies, the college is better than other colleges in the city. The teachers here are more qualified and experienced. The course curriculum is relevant. Exams are very easy to pass.

Review of Indian Institute of Science.
Placements: Around 30-40% of students got placed in our course. Many students went for further studies with specialisations in fields like fashion design, healthcare, education, etc. Students got placed as nutritionists, child care, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good and beautiful. Our college provides good facilities. It has greenery. It is spread over a vast area. Our college has labs, a library, classrooms, etc. We have basketball and badminton courts.
Faculty: Our teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. They are not very helpful. They canceled many classes because the course curriculum was considered very easy. All the papers in the curriculum are theory-based. They could be answered by studying just the textbooks.
Other: They conduct extracurricular activities.
