Yes, the M.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering eligibility criteria differ for the reserved category candidates at IIT Bombay. The eligibility criteria for M.Tech. admission to different disciplines, including Biomedical Engineering, is as follows:
Degree/Qualifying Discipline: B.E./B.Tech. /AMIE or equivalent in Biomedical Engineering (BM), Biotechnology (BT)
First class or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST/PwD) as specified in the clause A.5.1.
GATE Requirement: As per below Table - A.3a
The cut-off GATE scores for the reserved categories are:
- GN/EWS: 400
- OBC-NC: 360
- SC/ST/PwD: 267
PwD reservations will be horizontal (i.e., PwD candidates will consume seats from their birth category quota).

Please note that mere fulfillment of eligibility criteria does not entitle a c&idate to be called for the test &/or interview. Admission is based on GATE/Written test/Interview performance & additional eligibility criteria for different admission categories & specializations.
