To get admission to M.S. by Research in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at IIT Bombay, candidates must meet the general eligibility criterion, which includes having a first-class degree or 60% marks in B.E./B.Tech./AMIE or equivalent in engineering, M.Sc. or equivalent in any Science discipline, or MCA (with Physics & Mathematics at B.Sc. level) or equivalent. A valid GATE score (in any of the specified papers) is required, and the institute will post a GATE cut-off score on its admissions website. B.Tech degree holders from IITs with a CGPA/CPI above 8.00 may be admitted without a GATE score for a limited number of seats. The admission process involves a written test and/or an interview for all applicants. The programme requires coursework worth 70 credits and an MS thesis to successfully complete it.
