Your ranking in JAM plays a very important role in helping you secure admission in the next round of CCMN counselling. The eligibility consists of undergraduate degree in Science or a related discipline with at least 55 percent marks.Yes, it is a great idea to do M.Sc. in biotechnology after B.Sc in chemistry. The programme in IIT Bombay is also interdisciplinary and hence it includes subjects like biochemistry and molecular biology, and others besides, that would complement a chemistry background. It is a very prestigious programme in a top school that exposes one to robust career opportunities in research or pharmaceutical and a flourishing biotech sector .
