Higher compensation packages are now available to IMUC graduates due to the growing demand for marine experts. Because of their solid academic credentials and hands-on training, IMU graduates are in great demand in the marine sector. Over 90% of the university's graduates get placed each year, demonstrating its excellent placement record. Pursuing GME with Synergy sponsorship at HIMT.

Placements: The placements at HIMT are very good compared to the other training institutes, because in our batch, 85 percent of the cadets got placed in various companies like Synergy, IMEC, Fleet Management, etc. My placement story has been one roller coaster ride. There have been so many ups and downs throughout this journey but by god's grace I came out victorious.

Pursuing GME at HIMT with IMEC sponsorship.

Placements: HIMT has good placement records and sponsorships. Our batch’s placement is about 85%. Most of them are under sponsorship programs and others received placements in various companies like D'amico, Sanmar shipping, and Eastaway. I was sponsored by IMEC. It's the International Maritime Employers Council. HIMT guided me to get through IMEC sponsorship. My starting salary as an apprentice is about 750 USD, and once I'm promoted, my salary would be around 2000-10000 USD per month.

Placements: About 85% or above are placed in my senior batch. As a trainee you can get from 35K to 50K per month. When you are promoted to fourth engineer in the ship it may vary from 1Lakh to 1.5Lakhs according to different companies and in which ship you are in, it also increases according to the promotions and reach upto 7lakhs or above per month. Top recruiting companies are synergy, feet management, torm etc. Each batch can get internship from different ports as they need.

Good faculty, good environment of the college, placement not good, food also not good.

Placements: There is no opportunity for placement. They only focus on girls' placement. I scored 77%, but I didn't get a single opportunity from the campus. They just said companies will come but our course is only for boys, yet we didn't see a single company. All the companies came for B.Sc. They just told us to give exams for formality. Everyone knows that companies will not take DNS.

Right place to do your DNS.

Placements: I recently completed the DNS course from HIMT College. I found it to be a very valuable experience. If you want to join the Merchant Navy, this is one of the ways. To join this course, you have to give the IMUCET exam, then you have to take sponsorship from companies like Synergy, Fleet, VR, etc. Only then can you join this course. The placement is 100% for this course because you are already sponsored when you join the course. The starting package will be from $500 to $600. It will increase whe...

Placements: The B.Sc batch of 2024 saw 90% placement. The major recruiters are Damico, MOL, MOLTA, Eastaway, Marshal Shipping, Sanmar, etc. I am glad to have been placed in Sanmar Shipping with a starting package of 60,000. If you stay all clear throughout your semesters, you will definitely get placed.

Best campus for maritime studies.

Placements: In DNS, there are about 120 students, out of which more than half have already been placed or sponsored, and the rest are given priority even after passing out from the campus. The faculties are well-trained with sailing experiences, and visiting faculty members are currently working in the industry. After the course, you can join a ship as a deck cadet, where you'll learn and get trained to be a better seafarer.

The college is satisfying and the placements are good.

Placements: The cadets should not have any arrears during their academic time. They are recruited by companies like Synergy, Damico, Sanmar, Maritime, Molme, Molta, Chellaram, Chellship, BSM, and BSW Dynacom. The batch which is about to pass out this year has around 80 cadets out of which 60 got placed. Last year’s batch had 90% placements rate.
