The placemets is better for Bsc Placements: In our college about 70% of students are placed in many streams like MBA and Nautical Field. The average salary offered at IMU is 7 lac per annum with the highest package offered being 12 lac per annum and the lowest is 5.5 lac.he BSc in Nautical Science salary in India ranges from INR 5 - 8 LPA. The college has not released its placement report for the year 2022. However, the 2021 placement statistics are available, according to which 100 students participated in the placement drive of 2021 and out of which 22 students got placed in top companies such as DHL, Airlift, APL Logistics, Adani Group, etc. So, the overall placement rate recorded was 22%. The overall placement rate dropped from 52% in 2020 to 22% in 2021. Placement package for Bsc nautical Science student is 36k-45k. and for DNS is 33k-35k, for MBA students package is 20k - 25k, for B.Tech placement is poor in chennai campus. This is better placements oppurtunities in equal terms of Southern Academy of Maritime Studies.

After our course we can enter in to shipping field as captain. This college provides good quality education, so various international shipping companies come to take our cadets. Residential Programmes are the courses for which the students have to stay compulsorily in the Hostel. Accommodation in the Hostel will be given by IMU Campuses for these students. No request for opting for residing outside for residential programmes will be accepted.
