GME course from HIMT is a pathway to a successful career.

Faculty: The curriculum focuses more on Marine Engineering components with practical aspects and hands-on experience. We also get an immersive learning experience through the virtual reality modules developed in-house at HIMT by the Chief Engineers and Master Mariners. Faculty members are the best in terms of core job experience and are seasoned teachers who understand our depth and teach effectively.

Highly recommended college for GME in India.

Faculty: Teachers have immense experience at sea, and they share with us the challenges and experiences they face at sea. They also mentor us so that we are fit for work at sea. The course curriculum is equally balanced between theory and practical, with more hands-on training experience.

This college is okay to survive in, but it's not a very good option.

Faculty: Teachers here are all good and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is good. Talking about semester exams, this college provides better practice and helps us prepare for the final IMU exams. 50% is the minimum marks to pass this DNS course. The academic block is quite small but fine.

I get placed in MMSI through HIMT after completing GME.

Faculty: Semester exams are to the point, covering whatever is taught in class, and hence are not very difficult. They are a mix of subjective and objective questions. Our course curriculum has equal weightage for theory and practical hands-on experience. All our faculty members are master mariners and chief engineers who make us fit for the sea.

Highly recommended college for B.Tech Marine Engineering.

Faculty: All our teachers are friendly, and they know what is to be taught to us and how to teach us. They also mentor us. We have a strong, healthy relationship with all our faculty members, they make the complex systems and concepts simpler. Semester exams are easy if we focus on the previous year's question papers.

My success story as B.Tech Marine Engineering Cadet.

Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, they made us feel at home, they are all highly qualified and mariners with vast experience. Our curriculum was as per Indian Maritime University, and it was not too tough for us. The curriculum makes us industry-ready. Semester exams are not that difficult, we are all clear.

Review of Diploma in Nautical Science course at IMI.

Faculty: Teachers are mostly ex-captains and some are even sailing captains who are highly knowledgeable. Exams are of decent difficulty and they teach everything as per the syllabus. The seamanship instructors or the wardens are on a bit of the other side in terms of communication but it's still manageable.

I'm satisfied with placements, average infrastructure, and fee is a little bit high too.

Faculty: Faculty members in IMI are good, I can say above average. Some professors are from the same field (like captain and chief engineer ), but some are from mechanical and another branch for workshops like subjects. Semester exams are above average as the university is IMU, so the papers are designed by them.

It is one of the best decision to take admission here. It has good location in heart of the city.

Faculty: Our faculty members are well-qualified. Most of them are retired captains of the merchant navy, also we have faculty who have served in the Indian navy as captains, and commanders. They are knowledgeable. The course or the study material provided is curriculum relevant helping the students to become industry ready. Semester exams of the college are average and the pass percentage is 50%.

Excellent infrastructure, 100% placements, and state-of-the-art facilities.

Faculty: Teachers are highly experienced mariners, most of them are ex-Indian navy guys. They are highly knowledgeable with excellent quality teaching. The course curriculum is designed by DG Shipping, thus making it relevant. It does make the students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate in difficult, exams conducted by IMU. For ETO, no semester exams are there.

No if you did not score a minimum of 60% in PCM in your 12th grade examination you are generally not eligible for admission to the Indian Maritime University for the Marine engineering course even if you clear your compartment exam in the same year
