Q:   Can I become a lawyer after completing my LLB?
A: 

No, After completing LLB you become a lawyer, however, you are still not an advocate and hence cannot practice law. To become an advocate and to practice law as a profession, you mandatorily need to clear the All India Bar Examination (AIBE). After qualifying AIBE, one can practice law as a full fledged profession. 

Q:   Can I become a lawyer without a Law degree?
A: 

No, you cannot become a lawyer without a Law degree. You mandatorily need to obtain degrees such as BA/BCom/BSc/BBA LLB or LLB in order to be a lawyer in India. To become a lawyer, one must first complete three-year or five-year LLB from a recognised university and possess degree certificate. Then, they must enrol themselves in local Bar Council of the concerned state and enrolled as an advocate. Within two years of the enrolment, they must appear and clear AIBE in order to be eligible to practise anywhere in India. 

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria for undergraduate programmes at IIULER Goa?
A: 

IIULET 2024 II is the exam through which you can apply for admission to undergraduate programs at Goa and there will be no upper age limit. A common candidate who has scored at least 45% marks in the aggregate of their class12 or any equivalent and it is reduced to 40% for SC ST PWD candidates.

Q:   What are the fees for UG and PG programs at IIULER Goa?
A: 

The fees for UG programs at IIULER Goa include an admission fee of INR 16000, campus development fund fee of INR 12000 and tuition and programme fee of INR 6,20000 per year. Additional charges apply. For PG programs, the fees include an admission fee of INR 21000, a campus development fund fee of INR 12000 and tuition and programme fee of INR 4,90000. Various other fees are also included. Hostel accommodation. Additional facilities are optional and charged separately.

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria and admission process for IIULER Goa?
A: 

Admissions to UG programmes in IIULER Goa have no upper age limit. General/OBC/NRI/ PIO/OCI students require minimum 45% and SC/ST/PwD 

students require minimum 40% in class 12 or equivalent examinations. However, students who will take the qualifying examination in 2024 shall also apply provided they shall submit their results before the date of admissions.
Q:   What all financial aid options are available at IIULER Goa?

IIULER Goa Offers Half to Full-Length Scholarships in LL. Tech 5-Year Integrated Honors Degree Programme through IIULET Score, Applications are invited in the prescribed forms from eligible candidates who have been qualified by Indian Institute of Library & Information Science University Entrance Test for admission to B. For students with 95% and above, a tuition fee relaxation of 60%, for those between the band of 85%-94 % get a gentle reduction in fees by about half i.e. (50%)and scores from75%-84 per cent will be asked to pay only three - fourths (i.e. These scholarships are reviewed on yearly basis after the results of university exams finalized to determine students eligibility for renewal.

Q:   What is the difference between the syllabus of Andhra Pradesh LAWCET and the syllabus of CLAT?
A: 

Both the AP LAWCET and CLAT entrance exam are conducted for admission to the Law schools in India, however, the syllabus for these exams are different on many parameters and candidates should strategise differently for both the exams. AP LAWCET exam has sections including Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Contract Law, Constitution, etc. and the CLAT entrance exam sections include English Language, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics, etc. AP LAWCET does not have mathematics subjects, AP LAWCET exam focus more on regional knowledge. CLAT generally covers the deeper aspects of the particular subject.
