IUST Awantipora Diploma admission is granted to applicants who fulfil the eligibility and selection criteria specified by the university. To be eligible for admission, applicants must have completed Class 10/Class 12 (for Lateral Entry) with the required minimum aggregate. Hence, it can be said that the candidates who have appeared or are appearing for the Class 10/Class 12 exam in the current year can apply for admission. A 'Declaration for Result Awaited Candidates' must be filled by candidates applying before their final results are declared.

IUST Awantipora Diploma admission is subject to the fulfilment of the preset eligibility and selection criteria. The eligibility criteria for Diploma admission is for the candidates to have passed Class 10 with the minimum required aggregate (35%) and relevant subjects. Such candidates are required to appear for the University Entrance Test to be considered for seat allocation. Yes, IUST Awantipora provides an option to join its Diploma courses directly in the second year through lateral entry. Diploma (Lateral Entry) aspirants must appear for the University Entrance Test to secure admission. They must also fulfil the below-given eligibility criteria to be considered for admission:

• Candidates who have passed Class 12 shall be eligible for admission to the second year of Diploma Course (s) in any branch of Engineering and Technology; OR
• Candidates must have passed Class 12 with any of the three subjects: Physics/ Mathematics / Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship

Candidates can check the JEE Main 2026 exam date allotted to them on their city intimation slip and JEE Main admit card. Candidates have to download the city intimation slip and admit card from the official website as per the schedule
