B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2018
3.4
It provides good infrastructure, teachers, but restrictions are there in many ways.
Placements: Placements were average, because many companies come to college for placements, but many companies were non-technical. Around 2-3 core companies visit our college for placements. So placements were done like this which I don't like.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and hostel were good and well maintained. It has a 250-acre campus that contains a good hostel, and good academic building so, I will rate 4 out 5 for infrastructure and hostels. A bill ground, a good hall for the cultural program were also provided.
Faculty: Faculty members were well educated, helped in nature always try to make students understand the concept. Semester exams were good to check the student knowledge, and the student can pass their exams with good numbers if they were regular in their classes.
Other: In this college, fee structure was high as compared to the things provide to students. Hostels were more costly than academic fees. They do not provide many facilities as compared to the money taken for hostel fees. Food was of good quality, and healthy food was served but somewhere lack of taste in food provide. Events were held in the college 1 time in a semester.

The infrastructure is very good. Faculty members are very good. The problem is with placements.
Placements: Core companies didn't visit here for placements. However, more than 50 non-technical companies visited here, and you can make a career. It is a good college, and you can take admission here. Our college atmosphere is also good. You will learn more things in our college, which is helpful in life.
Infrastructure: The hostel and canteen facilities were very good here. I have learned much about life rules, technology and many things. I love this place, but the only thing you need to do is you have to be a punctual and keen learner. Our college will help you, and you will be a good engineer.
Faculty: Faculty members here were highly educated, and all teachers were very good.
Other: You can join here, and it's a nice college.

B.Tech. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2016

The infrastructure and campus life are good. However, the placements are below average.
Placements: The placements of our batch were below average, but the placements of our senior batch were really pathetic. Almost 60% of the students got placed from our batch, but only 40% of the students got placed from our senior batch. This college is not that good in terms of placements as only a handful of students get good offers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is excellent. The college is lush green, and almost all the amenities from sports and gym to bakeries and general stores are available here. It has a shopping complex too inside the campus. The labs are really good and well-equipped. There is a wind tunnel testing laboratory in the college which is only the 2nd wind testing lab in India. The classrooms and hostels are decent, and the mess is big enough to facilitate the whole batch at a time. The campus is spread over 150 acres with an artificial lake inside and a walking footpath around it. There is a very nice park available on the campus where you can hang out during the free time. The infrastructure of the college is above average.
Faculty: Some faculty members are really good and highly qualified. Faculty members of the civil engineering department are very good, and they develop an interest in the subject. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that each and every concept is cleared. You get to study all the subjects at the right time and right place.
Other: JYC club is available here, and it has three wings. This club focuses on organising activities inside the campus. Fests, cultural activities as well as technical events organised here are really good and worth attending. They are the best part of our college life. Students face difficulty to reach there as it is a remote area and only a few direct trains available.

A good college to learn, have fun and get good exposure.
Placements: There is a lot of scope for IT companies, but for civil and mechanical engineering departments, the scope for placements is low. Hardly any placement is provided for the core branch students. There are no placements for chemical engineering. Overall, the placements are good computer science engineering students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was very good. Labs were very well upgraded. There were a lot of restrictions, but the academic environment is good. Medical facilities were very good. The mess was good, but the food served was not tasty.
Faculty: Faculty members were very cooperative. However, some of them were not. Faculty members in the civil department were well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality was outstanding. The student-faculty ratio was quite less, but the way they taught was unforgettable.

The review of JUET - Jaypee University of Engineering And Technology.
Placements: JUET has a placement cell, and it works continuously for the students to get placed in various MNCs. More than 100 students from our batch were placed from the college. I was offered jobs from two companies, and the salary packages offered by them are 7 LPA and 8 LPA respectively. The placement record of our seniors was also good. Many of our seniors are working outside India, and they were offered a salary package of 25 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the main thing which will attract you toward JUET. The campus is lush green and is spread over 125 acres. There are separate hostels for boys and girls with 24x7 internet connectivity. Our college also has a separate hygienic mess. Hostels rooms were good with a centralised air-conditioning system.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, and they have completed their studies in IITs and NITs. Special focus was also given for GATE exam. Our faculty are very helpful. The course curriculum was very helpful and is designed as per the syllabus of various competitive exams.
Other: JUET organises various fests such as cultural, technical and sports events every year.

The college is good. Some faculty members are extremely good.
Placements: Placements in the college were good. Almost all the students were placed including students of the civil and mechanical branch. Placements matter, but what is also important to see is which companies visited for recruitment. There are less number of companies that offer higher packages, but at last, it depends upon your knowledge, skill set and how many tools you possess. So, work hard to get placed in a good company. Opportunities will be given here.
Infrastructure: JUET has an excellent infrastructure. The building, hostels and labs are well-equipped and are very good. Food served in the hostel is good and eatable. Labs are also well-established. Classrooms are spacious, and the library is small but peaceful. Wi-Fi facility is quite good, and medical facilities are not up to the mark.
Faculty: Faculty members in the college are helpful. It depends upon you as to how much learning you can extract from them. The course curriculum is good and follows the grading system on a scale of 10. Getting good CGPA is not a difficult task here but getting ample amount of knowledge is surely tough. Faculty members of civil and mechanical are extremely erudite. So, students must try to make use of it. At last, only your efforts will lend you in the right direction, not someone else's.

The infrastructure is world-class, and placements are decent.
Placements: Placements in our college were good for CSE, IT and ECE branches with the highest package being 12 LPA. But, the packages are comparatively lower for core branches such as civil, mechanical and chemical departments. About 75% of students got placed by the end of the academic year. The average package offered was approximately 4.50 LPA, and the major recruiters are companies like Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, RBS, JMC, etc. Students get internships on their own, and the placement cell is efficient only for providing placements in the IT sector. Other branches are overlooked by their respective HODs and faculty members, which is not much useful.
Infrastructure: The university has a best in class infrastructure in every aspect, starting from in-campus water and sewage treatment plant to lush green lawns spreading across 140 acres. All the facilities like accommodation, Wi-Fi, medical facilities, sports facilities, modern classrooms, etc., are provided. Labs are available for all departments. The university also has a wind tunnel to test civil structures which are only present in 3 institutes in India.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified. Some of them also have professional experience. The academic council of the university is efficient enough to design the course curriculum as per the needs of the industry, and it keeps updating regularly. Teaching methods involve quizzes, class participation, assignments, three tests, etc. The faculty to student ratio is about 1:30. I did get industry exposure in my 3rd year. The course curriculum was very useful.
Other: The best part of the course is the official youth club JYC which takes care of all the activities of students starting from freshers' day to farewell party. The annual cultural festival named D'Equinox is organised for two days, and those two days are the best days of the year. The technical societies plan hundreds of events throughout the year. The campus crowd is decent with almost 15% of students being localites. Others, mostly, belong to the northern part of the nation. Merit cum means based scholarships are available.

Really good placement cell and infrastructure.
Placements: Placements in the college are quite good for computer science and IT branches, but they are average for mechanical and civil branches. Our senior batches had good placements. An ample number of IT sector companies visited the campus for placements, and they all gave good offers. Every IT students had one or two offers in hand.
Infrastructure: The college has good labs and classrooms. For civil engineering, the college has one of the great labs with all the instruments, and it is the same for mechanical and other branches also. The library has a good atmosphere, and the hostels are good. Talking about the quality of food, it is great sometimes and average the other times.
Faculty: Teachers in college are very helpful and have good knowledge. They provide every help regarding your knowledge and you can also interact with teachers. Sometimes teachers use projectors for explaining things, and tutorial classes are also held for numerical problems.
Other: An ample number of events are conducted to provide exposure to the students. Fests are also conducted, and extracurricular activities should also be organised.
