It is a good university in terms of return on investment.
Placements: Civil engineering students do not have a good reputation in the placement department. I got two offers before the completion of my degree. Our college provides quite good placements. If you are a computer science student or an IT student, you will get placed easily.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped. Lecture theaters are quite spacious. Wi-Fi is not much fast but quite stable. Hostels are quite good. As they get quite cold in Himachal Pradesh so all rooms are equipped with heaters. The food served in the mess is good compared to other college messes
Faculty: All professors are from IITs. The lab assistant is very helpful and knowledgeable. Exams are divided into three parts. The T1 exam is conducted for 15 marks. The T2 exam is conducted for 25 marks. The T3 exam is conducted for 35 marks. The T1 exam is easy compared to the T2 and T3 exams. Around 25 marks are in the hand of your respected subject teacher.

I am not very satisfied with the college placements and teachers .
Placements: Not more than 10% of the students were placed. There were no good companies that came to the college. The highest package offered was around INR 3 LPA during training period with a bond of 2-3 years. Most of the students went for their higher studies .
Infrastructure: Civil department lacks good laboratory and even the lab staffs were not trained properly in handling the equipment and most of the equipment were not in good condition. The classroom and hostel was good. As college was on a hill not many sports facilities are there.
Faculty: Teachers were good but not the best. They were knowledgeable but inexperienced in teaching. Curriculum was relevant as it taught us the basics about the subject but was less focused on experimental learning and more focused on theoretical learning by cramming the subject.
Other: Fest was organized and the college life is quite good.

Beautiful infrastructure, awesome placements, good crowd and campus life.
Placements: About 40% were placed in my course. the highest salary was about 50 Lacs. Least salary was about 3.5 Lacs. Average salary was about 5 Lacs. Top recruiting companies - infosys, wipro, samsung and many more. About 85 % got internship from my college . Average package offered for my course was about 5 Lacs.
Infrastructure: Each department has very good facilities . Good Wi-Fi and LAN facilities in each of the rooms in the hostel. Good and pure drinking water facilities in each hostels. Mess food is pretty good as compared to other colleges. Milk is also provided in the night hours.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and qualified enough to solve any of the doubts of the students. Teachers of each department encourages the students to go for higher studies and clear the higher level competitive examinations . Course curriculum is very relevant and as per the UGC guidelines.

There are worst placements but good campus life.
Placements: None of the students placed. The authorities would cover that up by saying the batch isn't good enough, but the truth is the college wasn't good. The college doesn't offer good placements for the other branches as well, and for the civil branch, it is worst.
Infrastructure: Mess food was eatable. The campus is small and labs okayish. The rooms were big if you get double occupancy, but for some reason, the single occupancy rooms like mine were very small for one person to live. The campus wasn't a big problem for the college compared to other aspects.
Faculty: There are no placements, but the faculty is pretty decent compared to that. We have good faculty members with good knowledge teaching us. They were pretty helpful in imparting knowledge regularly and proficiently. The curriculum feels pretty archaic.

Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty of the civil branch.
Placements: The current scenario of placements is good in all branches. Companies related to all the branches are visiting the campus for placements. The highest salary package offered was 28 LPA by Amazon. Even the companies related to the civil engineering department are also visiting the campus for placements. The placement status is also updated on the website of JUIT.
Infrastructure: The college has the best infrastructure. It is 6th most beautiful campus in India. All types of facilities are available in our college. However, the college doesn't provide proper sports infrastructure. Hostel rooms are quite good. Quality of food served in the mess is good. Labs are well-equipped with all types of apparatus, instruments and software.
Faculty: Faculty members are quite good at JUIT. However, we can see the best faculty members in the civil engineering branch. All of our faculty are from IITs, NITs and BITS Pilani. The faculty are supportive. Faculty members also teach us for competitive exams. Student to faculty ratio is quite good. The industry exposure is provided for the students of the civil engineering branch too.
Other: Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty of the civil branch.
