Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University- A brief before you get in.

Placements: As per the numbers, this college doesn't actually get you placed yet. You have to apply for off-campus placements, but there are people who got placed well. The highest package one of our seniors cracked was 40 LPA, and internships are all upon yourself, like how much you can push yourself to.

Infrastructure: There are nicely maintained classes with AC and Wi-Fi and a decent library. Though the college is running on a temporary building right now, it doesn't provide handy hostel facilities now; hence, there is no canteen or mess. Sports tournaments are held often in the playground, and the best of all is volleyball.

Faculty: Teachers here are all very helpful. They are very much qualified in their fields and have very good experience and knowledge. The course curriculum is also very relevant as per the new guidelines of UGC. Teachers here have a quality of teaching, too. Semester exams are not so tough, but yes, you have to study hard enough to pass those.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in cyber forensics and cyber security. Though we don't get fests here in this college, we get opportunities to take part in many. There are many extracurricular activities that we take part in, too.

About Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University:

Placements: There is no concept of placements in our university. After completing the course, students prefer to enroll in M.Sc. in Forensic Science and prepare for the NET/JRF exams. Others start preparing for government exams like UPSC, SSC, and Banking.

Infrastructure: The university does not provide any hostels. Students find rooms nearby or live in PG accommodations. However, the faculty members are supportive. They are always ready to assist students in difficult situations. We also have a library on campus. Unfortunately, the laboratory facilities are inadequate. The chemicals in our labs are even expired.

Faculty: The faculty members are sufficiently skilled and helpful. They possess extensive knowledge. The course curriculum is also well-structured. All semester exams were conducted smoothly and on time. Additionally, we received our results promptly. If you have a genuine passion for Forensics, pursuing a B.Sc. in Natural Sciences like Physics, Chemistry, and Biology followed by an M.Sc. in Forensic Science would be a better career path.

Other: I chose this course because completing any course from Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University earns additional marks in the Police Constable/SI exams conducted by JPSC exclusively for Jharkhand students. I aspire to join the police forces, making this an ideal choice for me.

Placements: For the BBA course at JRSU Ranchi, placements are fairly decent as around 80-90% of students usually get placed. The average salary package offered is about ₹3.5 to ₹4 LPA, while the highest package can go up to ₹6-8 LPA, for top performers. Companies like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Reliance, Amazon, Wipro, and TCS are among the recruiters.

Infrastructure: Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University (JRSU), Ranchi, has fairly standard facilities for the BBA course. The classrooms are spacious with basic teaching aids, and the campus is Wi-Fi enabled to help students access study materials and online resources. The university has a central library with books, journals, and digital resources relevant to management and security studies. Computer labs and seminar halls are also available for presentations, projects, and skill development sessions. No hostel is available, you can take PG accommodation.

Faculty: Lenient checking of answers, although a control board is introduced from this year. Still, checking is easy. Semester exams are easy; you can clear them in 1 to 2 days. The syllabus is not much relevant, but if you want to prepare for other examinations, you are all set as fees are less and you get plenty of time.

Other: I chose the BBA Ranchi because it is a unique programme that combines management knowledge with practical exposure to security and law enforcement fields. The crowd is diverse. The university provides scholarship opportunities to deserving students, especially those from reserved categories and economically weaker sections.

Good placements were achieved in 2023, highlighting our excellent infrastructure.

Placements: The total strength of our classroom is 24 students. Placements are held in our college, with different companies from every department visiting, including Wipro and TCS. Every student gets an internship opportunity in our college.

Infrastructure: Our college boasts big libraries with all types of books available. The infrastructure is excellent, with spacious libraries, canteens, and Wi-Fi accessibility. The classrooms are also of good quality.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful to students and are qualified in NET JRF. The exam mode is moderate in our college, and teachers ensure the syllabus is prepared before exams. Our course is distinct from others, preparing students for their future goals.

Other: I chose M.Sc. in criminology because I aim to work closely with police departments, CID, etc. Proper training is provided for this course, and events and extracurricular activities are organized in our college.

Review of Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University.

Placements: There are no placements in our course. There are no top recruiting companies that visit our campus for recruitment. There is also no placement cell. Almost 30% of students got internships in CID and SFSL.

Infrastructure: Our campus is small. Classrooms are good, and Wi-Fi facilities are only available in the computer laboratory. The library is very good. There is no hostel. Mess facilities are also not available on campus. Sports and games are not good.

Faculty: Faculty members are good. They also provide practical knowledge that will be useful in the industry. Semester exams are average, and the pass percentage is 46%. The end-semester is worth 50 marks, and it's 70 for non-practical subjects.

Other: This course helps us solve crime cases. They should improve the infrastructure, laboratories, and sports facilities. Events like freshers' day, annual functions, etc., are conducted.

Masters in forensic science JRSU - Review.

Placements: You will study how science helps solve crimes, how to analyze fingerprints, blood, drugs, digital data, and other evidence. There is no formal campus placement, and students typically prepare for government exams. Average package is around 3.5 LPA. The highest package is as high as 7 LPA.

Infrastructure: College has Wi-Fi which you will know about if you ask about it. There are faculty quarters but there are no hostel facilities available currently so you will have to arrange your own stay. Well, for that there are many options near college or within the radius of college.

Faculty: Teachers are regularly changed if their performance is not up to the mark. But it is also a drawback considering a good teacher changing in the next semester. The course curriculum is as per standard but as we are advancing in technologies faster so curriculum is still a bit lacking.

Other: Well, it's great if you are aiming for government college or any competitive exams. As you will get plenty of your own time to study, the exams will not be too hard.
