The mode of admissions at the Jiwaji University varies from one course to another. Jiwaji University admission is both merit and entrance-based. After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

Jiwaji University offers admission to various UG and PG level programmes on the basis of merit and valid scores of accepted entrance exams. The University considers a minimum aggregate of 45% to 60% in Class 12 and/or 50% to 55% in graduation, depending on the level of the course candidate must have opted for. In addition to this, for majority of courses, candidates must secure valid scores in CUET UG/PG, CMAT, NEET PG, GATE or other valid entrance exams.

NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the BTech courses. During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750. As per the placement stats of 2024, the UG 3-year programme graduates received a median package of worth INR 2.40 LPA, whereas, UG 4-year graduates received a median package of INR 2.80 LPA. In comparison to 2023 placement stats, wherein, the median package offered during Jiwaji University BPharm and MPharm placements 2023 stood at INR 1.45 LPA and INR 1.9 LPA.
