Yes, Kalinga University is an NAAC-accredited university. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has granted a B+ to the university based on the institution’s overall quality and performance. Other than that, Kalinga University is among the 8th Private Universities in the country approved under Section 12B by UGC- University Grants Commission.

NAAC is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India to assess and accredit higher education institutions in the country. The accreditation process evaluates various aspects of an institution, including its infrastructure, teaching-learning processes, research output, governance, and overall quality. The admission process in the Kalinga University is on the basis of the merit list of the students it's not too hard to get admission in Kalinga University but it's not too easy to get in also. University also takes its entrance exam names KALSEE (Kalinga Scholastic entrance exam), it is a computer based test which is conducted in various cities of India and other countries . A student with minimum 40% marks in 12th is applicable for filling of admission in Kalinga University so 70% marks in 12th is also eligible for the admission in the university.

Kalinga University offers various UG, PG, Diploma, and Integrated courses through its 14 departments.

1. Candidates who have passed 10+2/HSC or its equivalent qualifying examination with minimum 45% aggregate (40% for reserve category) from a recognised Board are considered eligible for admission to the UG course.
2. Applicants with graduation degree of minimum three years with at least 45% marks (40% for the reserved category) from a recognised university are considered eligible to get admission in any PG course.
3. Candidates are selected on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination (for UG course) or in the Graduation Degree (for PG course) as per the guidelines of the university.
4. The application form is the same for every course (UG/ PG) and is available online and offline. Candidates shall submit the application fee of INR 1200 either through net banking/ credit/ debit card in online mode or through demand draft/ cash in offline mode.
